Didn’t even look tired afterwords…??? Doesn’t smell right but innocent until proven guilty
LRC note: This thread was deletd by a volunteer mod in 2023 but now given the fact that Katir has been suspended we have re-instated it.
Didn’t even look tired afterwords…??? Doesn’t smell right but innocent until proven guilty
IT is wild the way his fitness has improved since indoor in march.
Jakob destroyed him in a slow (7:48?) 3000. And he was passed by two other guys on the last lap as well.
He has been absolutely flying since May.
He ran a 7:44 outdoor 3000m last September in coming 3rd. So a 17 second improvement in 10 months. Let's pray he gets busted soon.
Yeah i can't believe this guy is legit.
Just want to note Ghost1's interviews do make you like the guy. He seems very honest and transparent. Doesn't mean he's not doping, but it's better than he's not cagey and seems pretty open. You can see he exudes real joy on and off the track.

He’s genuinely a nice guy and no one has a bad word to say about him and it is so sad to see that the default opinion for most people is that the guy is cheating.
In an interview he admitted that when he was at school in Spain he was really not into academics and all he thought about was sport and at the time it was only football but he didn’t have the skill set for football and so was persuaded to get into running. Running is the only skill set that he has and we hope that he will continue to do so for many years to come.

You are an idiot. Probably never won a race in your life.
You could hear him trying to catch his breath.
Idiot!

No he was jumping around screaming "vamos!"
I watched the race on French TV channel L’équipe and the commentator, Bob Tahri, The former French world class steeplechaser, also cast doubt on the legitimacy of Katir many times commenting that he was completely perplexed by the improvement shown by the Spaniard of Moroccan origin for example stating that improving from 1350 to 12:50 in one year is very unlikely among other comments which he attempted to maintain a civilized tone with but one could surmise very easily that Bob does not trust the legitimacy of this up-and-coming Spanish runner, Katir who has catapulted himself at the very top of the World class running in these last few weeks.
How old is he now? That DOES make a HUGE difference.

Before that he was panting and faced the cameras and said "No escucho a nadie".
That was a message for morons like you who accuse everyone of doping if they don't match your racial criteria.

Never accused Katir of doping. I look forward to plenty of WRs.

Accused Katir of doping when and where?
He won in Gateshead.
7.27.64 NR. McSweyn 7.28.94. Last 400 55.82.
A lot of PBs. Carro number 11: 7.41.20.

twice
Katir is 23. To run 3:40.84 and 7:56.62 at age 20 with minimal support system and such is impressive. So there obviously was talent here. Also watching the guy run you can see a beautiful style. The jump is huge, but I will again say this is not close at all to the most obvious doping case ever.

Heals go high behind is back and loose speed, jumping short stride, high shoulders and banana bent upper body that prevent max respiration and tilting left and right. Change of speed and advancing preferable in lane 2 in the curves. After finish line looks like he has got some kind of adrenalin-rush.
