Props to Jakob for running. You could see he wasn't right almost from the start. Tim will be worried that, unlike him, when Jakob has a niggle or a few days off, he can still run 3:29. He'll be in 3:27 shape in Tokyo.
I am sure Tim is very worried after his wire-to-wire win in 3:28.

Katir is only in the 5000m.
3:28/12:49 guy now
Yea I think there's no argument for not including him but you never know with KA, and yes, it's a great sign for Katir.
Well Shaunae Miller takes the 200 win but it seems like I would regret not going for the 400 at the Olympics where so many of the top athletes aren't running (Namibians, Athing, etc). Not as dominating as she would like probably
Ramzi>Makhloufi>Katir all "surprise" gold medalists...you'll see!
Come on…in athletics there are no “would” or “could”. The only truth is the clock.
Tonight they ran an astonishing 1500 ! Other runners can only just look and be angry for being elsewhere
Exact splits will be interesting if they do them by every 10 meters. I love Tim’s new tactic of unleashing the kick the last 200.
The troubling thing for Jakob is not finishing third but more that a better kicker than McSweyn looks dangerous in a slower race. For how much Jakob laid off the pace he looked pretty flat the last lap.

Jacob looked very flat. I would honestly take Centro or Hocker over him in a kick finish.
"Honestly" taking the clear gold-medal favorite (Centro) over a teenager is not that bold a statement, mate.

Centro gold medal favourite - what are you on????
Katir takes 5 seconds off his PB in one race after coming out of nowhere this year... I find his 3:28 hard to believe.
Lugubrious W200m race.
Less than meh

That should, hopefully, stop the stupid big mouths thinking the US actually have a chance at Tokyo.
Yes, yes, because Diamond League perfectly predicts who has a chance at the Olympics. Those stupid big mouths are…stupid.

Are you implying he's been eating some burritos in his build-up?

Ghost says he believes in God a lot. I mean, not just on Sundays, it's God God God every single day for this guy.
No way he dopes when you believe in God that much.

Yeah it's been an awful lot in seemingly very little time.

He’s a 1500/5000 runner having a huge breakthrough year. He is not old or anything. I have no idea if he’s doping or not but this is not a 26-year-old or a guy being coached by Jama Aden.

Defending gold medalist. Went from running 1:50 to almost winning US champs in a month. People are seriously sleeping on him. He's healthy and ready.
It was shocking to witness after the race everybody congratulating the Kenyan, Cheruiyot, runner but everybody ignoring the Spanish runner, Katir. That is unfair and unwarranted.

Lol. A PB nonetheless!
