People can't die of COVID if nobody has got COVID. It's pretty simple.
The vaccine only saves lives if the disease is doing the rounds.
Come on, it's not rocket science.
So instead of letting their people live in a society with a greatly reduced threat of lockdown & restrictions theNZ government decided to have its people live with a constant threat of lockdowns & restrictions. This is exactly what the NZ gov did when the put their people in “back of the line” for vaccines.
Furthermore, viruses like COVID can always “seap through the cracks” even in the most isolated closed bordered countries, as we see currently in Australia and NZ. By putting themselves “in back of the line” these cracks are more likely to result in the deaths of their people.
Still very interested in what your problem is? Is it an insecurity thing when people praise these countries over yours? I guess given you've had the whole 'greatest country in the world' thing indoctrinated into you from a young age, you really can't bear to see other countries be more successful?
You're clearly not going back down despite being wrong at a level only Bad Wigins could aspire to.
Do you accept that compared to what countries, including the mighty USA, have dealt with. A couple of days with one city having to wear masks on the bus and no gatherings of more than 100 people is a very minor restriction?
