Does anyone have the inside info on how a race that charges $55 for an entry fee feels the need to charge people for coffee?
Is it really that expensive to block off a single road waaaay up there in Humboldt County?

That's not the case "coach", they are just slow, they take forever to get results up every year. Almost every race unless done in a building is "remote". The races that get the results up quickly are the ones who hire professional timing outfits, and with a $55 fee, you think you'd get more for your money?
Anyone else have more than gabe, pete and brad's place? Any other times, places?
1. Gabe 1:05:40?
2. Gilmore 1:06:20?
3. Brad Poore
4. Todd Rose
5. ?
6. ?
7. ?
8. Enrique Henriquez 1:11?
9. Chad Worthen 1:12
10. Ryan Nickel 1:13
I think 5-7 were people from Oregon and not members of the PA. I didn't know them. Sorry my memory is terrible. Results should be up in a month or 2.
#7 was Longoria of Team Eugene in 1:10:33 (on their website). Unlike the strung out open guys, the top four masters finished 12th-15th overall in a seven second spread (1:14:24-1:14:31) with NB Excelsior taking the 1,3 and 4 spots and WVTC Albrecht getting 2M. Galligan was top Aggie master in 1:15 something, damn impressive for an age 46 guy with a Clydesdale frame. Top female was 1:19, not a name I recognized or could easily pronounce. Again, Gabe was 1:05:58 on the printed results.
Could Gabe run a sub-2:15 marathon?
So where were the trannies? A no show?

Perhaps.
If a runner were training for a marathon (i.e., running lots of miles and doing long runs) and ran a 1:05:xx half, mostly by himself, on a windy day, then I would say he was ready to go sub-2:15 on a fast course.
But I don't think that Gabe is training for the marathon.

Just one. Enrique in 8th. I know I looked at his back (when I was close enough) for a large part of the race.

He's doing CIM so I guess he would be.
Did he tell you this!?

I didn't know that. Wow. That's going to be interesting.

Yes. But there was a thread on it on here a few weeks back too.
What else did you talk about? What's your impression of him at this point ... is he serious about running?

Nate Bowen, Miguel Nuci and Myself all ran Twin Cities. None of us wanted to run a half that soon after the Marathon. Steve Moreno is running New York, Scott McClennan is getting married and Richie Boulet is showing his baby off in Poland. Those are the only guys I can speak for.
We are all aiming to be ready for PA XC CHAMPS.
I didn't really have a conversation with him. I just stood there and listened to him Gilmore and my teammate Ryan Nickel chat for a short time.

Wussies (kidding).
I can't believe you raced after that suffer-fest in Minnesota.

Yeah I agree totally 100%. I can't believe I did either, if you can actually call it "racing". Not many top guys in the PA were there I was trying to move up on the Long standings and I think I succeeded.
Gabe beat Gilmore in a half marathon? By 40 seconds? When did he pull away? I guess the hippie is pretty fit.

See above, as in the beginning of this thread.
