Started running about a month ago to try something new during COVID.
My best runs:
100m: <13 seconds (Set a 13 second timer and always cross the 100m line before it goes off, can't do so for 12 second alarm, though very close)
400m: 1 minute 4 seconds. I lose a lot of speed at the end feel like I am crawling through jello. This one hurts real bad.
1 mile: 7 minutes 13 seconds. I have only run this once but I think I could do better if I paced better.
My goal is to run a 11 second 100m, 55 second 400m, and a less than 6 minute mile. Should I focus on the 100m first? Then 400 then mile? Basically build the speed up first then endurance?
Sorry for the very noob question. I am just a gym rat who plays basketball trying to get some okay run times. Typing this out I can already tell this is a dumb question, like if someone came to a weight lifting forum and asked how to bench 225 for 10 reps so sorry.
