Does anybody have any information on the Adidas Adizero Prime X?
I see that the Adios pro 2 and Prime X are both releasing this week (in the UK atleast), but I’m not too clear on the differences or which (if any) to buy. Is one aimed at shorter distances and the other made for marathons?
It seems that the Prime X isn’t legal to run in. I assume that doesn’t matter for mere mortals like myself who aren’t anywhere near pro level, although I do wonder what the rules would be if I ran a BQ or championship time in them - would it be disallowed? Would I have to prove that I hadn’t worn these shoes to run my times in?
Finally - i know that they’re banned because they have a stack height of 50mm. Is this extra stack height going to make them considerably faster than the adios pro? Or are they just intended to be a training shoe and not meant for racing in at all?
I would only be interested in buying these if 1) they make me faster and 2) I won’t be penalised for wearing them in races (feel free to call me a moral cheat). I don’t want to pay the price tag just for a training shoe that might make look faster to my friends on Strava.
