Even if only a small number of people did not get the vaccine, I would still be annoyed at them (although not as much) in the same way you might be at annoyed somebody partaking in a legal tax avoidance scheme. They aren't breaking the law, they have a right to do it, but they are avoiding making a contribution that almost everyone else makes towards something they will still benefit from (e.g: sanitation, roads...) - i.e: the classic "free rider" problem. I believe the same applies here - they are avoiding the slight annoyance of being vaccinated, but presumably still want the benefits of herd immunity that will come from many others doing what they didn't want to do.
This is the one size fits all stuff that really irritates me. I can tell you I'm one of lots people that went super out of their way for the whole year and a few months when this pandemic first started. Putting everyone into the same basket of being irresponsible and careless is ridiculous. Not casting aspersions on those who had it (because probably half the people who got it, got it from irresponsible family members and passed it on) but certainly I've tested negative throughout and deserve credit for that. Your "slight annoyance of being vaccinated" and "benefitting" from other's vaccine is grating to say the least. I've never throughout this whole thing have thought only of myself. But now the risk is very small for those who are susceptible as far from me is concerned, its time to think about myself. If you want this healthy boy vaccinated produce a traditional vaccine and I'll take it. Meanwhile as far as I'm concerned the free clinical trial you and others are participating is going on and I will await the results.
