this is training and living like a Kenyan in America. and it is not worth it. if it were the only way to make it - then yes it would be. but in this country there are so many better ways to live. go find them.
You should not judge you so hard.
You have choosen your path years ago, for a reason and motivation. If you would not have followed this intrinsinc motivation, you would be now possible be also unhappy. Because you would believe you missed your chance.
You lived your dream and you still do. You can not have everything and you should not blame yourself because of a decision and commitment you made years ago.
For someone who ran 8:3x for a 3,000m and suffers so much with energy/motivation you are doing well, or do you expect to run much faster than that? Would you be a sub 8 runner if you had high energy and motivation? You should take time out and travel to a different continent. Go hiking in the wilderness of the Carpathian mountains in the Ukraine or something with a group. Meet the indigenous people and spend time with them. Do something good for them.
Jamin, I suggest a beach trip to Mexico with a 5 star resort hotel where you also gamble on a computer with hopefully good internet (not common in Mexico). You can have your choice of South American women or even pay a very small fee and hit up a brothel.
I stalked your Strava profile real quick and saw that you ran a 100 mile week a few weeks ago. You jumped to 100 from 30 the prior week and it looks like you were going down in mileage up to that jump. Then your mileage dove again after that. It looks to me like you overdid it that week. I didn't look at the actual runs but you either were a bit manic that week or you ran an ultra or something. So I would guess you got nutty that week and haven't really recovered from it. And maybe you were already somewhat chronically fatigued up to that point, but for some reason you felt like running a lot that one week.
Jamin! Why are you so stubborn? Why don`t take the chance to reach the running goals of your dreams with my Dancan system? It`s for free......and really, what do you have to lose to try it ? Noting of course.......come on now! Jump on the Dancan train for success! :)
I'd suggest that you're anemic and should get an iron test. And a girlfriend.

I'm not the OP but you say it's free.
Where can I find it?

Why don't you leave Jamin alone? He doesn't want an online coach, especially not a lying scammer like you.
Your athletes leave you after a couple of months and the one or two that stay with you get worse over the years.
He has a lot to lose by being coached by you. Like his fitness, his good times, his sanity.
And stop stalking him on Strava too, you creepy old man!

Put on racers this morning, intending to do a workout. Jogged to the track and just didn't feel like it when I got there. I dreaded the though of my legs pushing off and starting my stopwatch. Just feels like misery.
Queck your health status.
1)It could be a virus or bacterial infection which draws energy on your body (additional to your training)
2) It could be a depression/burnout.
3) It could be a classical overtraining.
So your next goal should be to find out the root cause.
The only bacterial infection he suffers from is the LRC nonsense bacterium.
Overtraining? Not a slight chance.
Jamin man, I’m seriously suffering an insanely high amount of energy and motivation for running. I go, and I feel better with every stride. I have to hold myself back!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Iām a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
