They really need to stop filming the 100 from the front, you lose all perspective of how fast they’re going
agreed. two drones on a track, one on the inside of lane 1 and one on the outside of the track. this will def help get viewers cause when say brommell starts to pull away the drone camera goes with him and people will be able to see awesome slow motion of form and explosiveness and give a feeling of just how fast they are moving

Also a tiny bit of perspective here despite it being a fantastic performance. Bromell is an elite talent and that never goes away. He ran 9.84 with +1.3 and +1.6 winds back in 2015 and 2016 respectively so really 9.77 here represents a minimum of where he should be in 2021. I say minimum because the injuries have clearly had an impact and he's been in "catch up" mode the last 5 or so years. Not unreasonable to think we will see a 9.74/5 from him with a good conditions and this is great to see a guy overcome adversity and deliver on his potential.
We need Sprintgeezer in here to explain. I trust his analysis, as crazy as that may sound.
i would say lets not....the guy self admitted he never ran faster than 12 in the 100m....so that would be like a 21 min 5k guy giving us analysis on 12:50 5k. no he is a blow hard who thinks waaaay to highly of him self and his annoying "basic" this and "basic" that. he is the sprint version of vent if any of you guys can remember his annoying never ran track but new how fast all sorts of people "should" have run in the 800-5k
im glad brommell is back cause he actually runs good where coleman was too quaded out from the juice and had sh*t running form. heavy squats are cool and all and you can get that explosive start but if your hammys are neglected your cycle through is garbage form falls apart and boom their goes your hammys...but he couldnt make time to piss for the man so glad he is gone
I hope someone can explain how 10.00 was first announced then changed to 9.77.

Okay wow that's a nice pick up. If you watch this the clock appears to stop at 10.00 as he flashes by and then the announcer does, as you said, mentions that the clock also stops at "10 flat unofficially" and then somehow it comes out at 9.77? That seems like too much of a bumb (nearly a quarter second).
I think Sprintgeezer might be right here - this is Bracy in the last 6 seasons
2017: 10.39
2018: NFL
2019: NFL
2020: 10.31
2021: 9.85 (?!?!?!?!)
I'm sorry I can't possibly believe that. He was running in the 10.3's, played in the NFL and now is as fast as Leroy Burrell? No way, I'm with SprintGeezer here 100%

He also ran 6.48 in February 2020 at the US indoor champs, so he may have well been on the trajectory to 9.8 before the pandemic hit. For the most part, who's taking 2020 outdoor times seriously?
Heck Kerley's season's best in the 100m last year was 11.0 and look where he is now.
Was that a real 100 for Kerley though or one of those obligation races?
Bracy has generally looked better indoors than out the last few years, and I think indicate he can be a sun ten performer but this result does look sort of suspect (the timing that is, not the athletes)
Very happy for him. Most exciting thing I’ve seen in a half a decade.
Same question you apply to Kerley you can apply to Bracy.
Even still, a 6.4x 60m correlates to AT LEAST a 10.0 for an elite sprinter and Bracy's top end is pretty good. Not to mention that Bracy trains with Bromell and DeGrasse and is currently tapering for the trials.
Third place Chris Royster ran 10.08 (2.7) back in April. Is it a stretch that he runs 10.05 (1.5) almost 2 months later?
I think the times are legit.

nope times arent legit till splintgeeezer says so....im sure he will come up with some asinine "basic"
"add in the wind, rojos theory on super spikes, small podunk meet, not all lanes filled, peaking too early...blah blah blah...so this is a 10.03 basic!"
I think this track is just .05-.1 secs faster than your average track.
one word
#FLORIDAFAST
I downloaded the video and ran it through Kinovea. Timing is right (9.77). Track must be magic though.
....or maybe just maybe Bromell and Bracy are that fast and we're seeing the fruits of their labor.
are y'all insane these times are NOT real whatsoever look at how they react after the race trayvon knows he didn't run sub 9.8

Yep. He's not only back, but he's better than ever with this result.
The Olympic trials should be electric!
Ummm, Bracy didn’t play in the NFL. He was invited to camp, but that’s a very far cry from playing in the NFL. He also didn’t play at Florida State, although he was on the team.
OK, totally different question.
Why the hell didn't Tracey, Blake, Walker, or Ellis run in the final????
Why were there only 4 guys on the track?

Bracy ran great as well. NFL Wide Receiver showing NFL players are pretty fast, he does have a Track Background as well, A State Champion in High School and he ran Track at Florida State.
Bracy coming out of nowhere here to run 9.8. These times are crazy suspect. I imagine if Coleman was eligible this year he’d be running 9.6s.
Florida kid who gave the NFL a try and got a sniff. He was a dangerous returner for FSU. 9.85 is solid. Underwhelming US sprinters currently. The question is, talking of FSU sprinters who left early, ruining Braman’s chance to claim credit for another national championship, what happened to Trentavis Friday?
