And no superspikes just some overbuilt NB spikes with BOA dials? What is happening here?!
Bracy ran great as well. NFL Wide Receiver showing NFL players are pretty fast, he does have a Track Background as well, A State Champion in High School and he ran Track at Florida State.
BROOOOOOMEEEELLLLLLLLLL

He was more a of a legit track guy who gave football a try for a while. It’s super impressive he’s been able to come back so we’ll

Techincally the NB spikes are somewhat "super" since they have a full-carbon plate, fixed titanium pins, and NB FuelCell foam.
But besides that Bromell has finally overcome injury and is doing exactly what he's always been capable of doing. Great guy and easy to be a fan of.
What an awesome day for athletics. So awesome to see him achieving his potential
Great day to see Bracy back as well. Although as a Canes fan, I’ll always feel weird cheering for him
Guess we found our new 100 guy with Coleman gone.

Oh my god please stop it with the super spikes.
Also a tiny bit of perspective here despite it being a fantastic performance. Bromell is an elite talent and that never goes away. He ran 9.84 with +1.3 and +1.6 winds back in 2015 and 2016 respectively so really 9.77 here represents a minimum of where he should be in 2021. I say minimum because the injuries have clearly had an impact and he's been in "catch up" mode the last 5 or so years. Not unreasonable to think we will see a 9.74/5 from him with a good conditions and this is great to see a guy overcome adversity and deliver on his potential.
Pet peeve:
They really need to stop filming the 100 from the front, you lose all perspective of how fast they’re going

We need Sprintgeezer in here to explain. I trust his analysis, as crazy as that may sound.

Okay so carbon fiber means nothing because it's existed for literally decades on sprint product. Btw these plates aren't layered carbon fiber they are nylon with high carbon fiber chip content because the advantageous properties are stiffness and weight - it doesn't matter how you get to it (layered CF or PA nylon + CF).
Fixed pins means nothing, the Nike Jasari had those back in the 90's, the adidas Prime SP had those in 2012 - the benefit is reduced weight because you don't have to mold in the receptacle housing (the screw parts) into the plate.
That reduced weight is of course offset by the addition of a ton of foam which is the real game changer in all these products. So while it's obviously heavier than zero foam (like traditional and even recent sprint product, including the spikes Bromell wore before these), the benefit of cushioning even for sprinters is something the industry got wrong for ever.
Fuelcell foam is simply the equivalent of Zoom X or adidas Lightstrike Pro - low surface tension, easily compressible and fast rebound. Does a nice job of cushioning impacts that fatigue muscles but without compromising weight or force to the track.
Don't know if this qualifies as super, but new foams are clearly helping athletes in training and on track.

What is there to analyze? Those are facts. The only question is based on running 9.84 with a +1.3 back in 2015, where you think he is today without the horrible injuries he had. I think it wouldn't be crazy to see 9.71/2 with favorable wind but those lost years to injuries cost something and I think it's a few hundredths. It's not about analysis it's about a logical hypothesis taking all things into account.
this is on miramar track i ran 10.2 on this track and i run 10.7 . Doesnt even look like a 9.77 more like a 10.0 run
When he went away for so long due to injuries, there was little chance of him ever coming back to his old level, yet here he is at 9.77! You have to recognize just how special this is. He was completely out of track for years.
9.85 for Marvin Bracey! Now that is very unexpected. A lot of early potential but he was off to football, I think.
Bracy 9.85?
Nope. These times are inaccurate. Miramar, Clermont, and other Florida times aren’t really meaningful.
Can’t tell anything from the vids I have seen.
I await confirmation, but I’m not holding my breath.
He is, thankfully, not yet a member of the 9.7 club. As far as I’m concerned he is currently the untainted WR-holder, along with MAYBE Bailey.
