I haven't read all the post. First of all I am impressed with Kessler but there are several things that stand out. Obviously the shoes, he trains with a very good coach and elite athletes, and his talent.
I'm not sure what the new normal is and will be with performances. In Canberra this year I have seen a 15 year old girls run 9 flat for 3k, I have seen an 18 year old boy run 1:48 and 3:40, (by the way was jumping in sessions with Jye Edwards who by the way has run 3:33) and another 15 year old Hayden Todd run world record for his age of 15 for 1k in 2:25.
Question is does everyone get the same performance benefits from the shoe? I know that has been the talk about the vapors and next percent but I wonder if the spikes have similar benefits for some but not for others.
I mean Kessler is less than a second by Craig Engels and I would suspect that Kessler's rise is going to be rapid with each passing week. He ran 3:57 indoors and now has run roughly 3:51. 6 seconds is a big improvement.
Should be interesting.
