Ho hum, let's just add some more sub-12:55 Ethiopians to the all time list.
Wale looking good was expected after his 3k show indoors, but why tf hasn’t Adidas gotten their new super spike out to the athletes yet? Might have costed Edris a spot, and they gotta fix the distribution before the olympics.
Super spike people: HELLLOO where are you?

What shoes is Edris wearing?

Edris had Avanti Boost spikes on.
Only Addisu Yehune in 4th had the new spikes.
Interestingly.. someone in an orange t-shirt was at the finish to take the spikes directly off his feet, presumably for someone to use on the 10,000m?
Tsegay with the Dragonfly again

I would not want to go up against Edris Thursday.

Which makes me wonder why 1 or 2 them didn't drop down to the 5k. I wonder if there was a backdoor promise for Barega or Kejelcha to be guaranteed a spot on the team in the 5k for that provisional spot. And then Wale got a backdoor promise for the steeple.

Not bad for a steeplechaser.
The 3000sc/5000 double looks manageable:
Friday morning and Monday night for 3000sc
Tuesday night and Friday night for the 5000.

These trials are puzzling. It seems like they are missing a good number of top Ethiopians.
It's possible that the great names focus on Florence meeting and possible attempts to WR.

Another WL. These trials are mind blowing.
I wonder what would happen if the US trials were paced?
Be my guest but not in the W8 please, I want to see what tactics Mu deploys against Wilson.

Yeah true. For the men's 5k, I'd love to see how many Americans could run close to 13:00 or under.
5000 - 14.13.33
This is the best meet of the year.
Did they just run like an all time top 5 women's 5000m?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
