Father should be expelled from fatherhood for allowing that to happen in the first place. Wtf?

Oh look, another fat shaming thread. Some people are just born this way, you know? We should be encouraging them to love their bodies, not strive for some unattainable Photoshop model figure.

These able bodied people can do anything normies can. Fix your crown and get back out there.
Not sure what to say about that. At 800 lbs I'm guessing he can't even stand up. At this point as a doctor I would have him fast 2-3 days a week, no food whatsoever and only water. On the other days I would have him on 800 calories max. Hydrotherapy every day.
I hope this guy does not die of COVID!
You gotta admire his commitment!
The father is in tears because what the heck is he supposed to do? His son has issues, obviously, and he can't deal with it any longer. The place that helps, is not helping.

If you can find it, read Dave Berg's "America is getting soft" from Mad Magazine issue 54 (1960).
He foresaw it all, including the riding around on scooters indoors. The ending is not happy, unless you're the Russians.
I looked for references to that edition of Mad online. It was a special April fools edition. I found the following on the article.
""America Is Getting Soft," script and art by Dave Berg; Dave develops the thesis that as the US becomes fatter and lazier, and ends up driving everywhere instead of walking, we'lland become pushovers for the lean hungry barbarians, just as ancient Rome did. "
and found the following:"
Magazine MAD issue #54 (April 1960), in a Dave Berg story called "America Is Getting Soft," posited a future where Western man, relying more and more on wheeled mobility, ends up round-bottomed with vestigial legs. The article was reprinted in the paperback ''Three Ring MAD''.

For an 800lb person to only lose 20lbs in 90 days while staying at a weight loss facility is truly impressive.
What do you understand about the importance of cheat days in weight loss?
This story is six years old. Apparently this guy made it onto a TV show about fat people being fat and then got married to a massage therapist. So, despite being almost completely immobile and on the verge of death, this guy is more of a "success" than half of the people on this website.

I guess he lost enough for the surgery and now weighs in the 500s.

Your definition of success is extremely biased and you come across as shallow, conceited, insecure and smug with your rhetoric. If he's happy, good for him. Are you saying he's successful because he's married? Because almost anyone can get married, it's not an outstanding accomplishment or a life checkpoint like your shallow world perceives it as. He lost weight. Good for him. But you--Do better. Work on yourself, buddy.

You know, learning to read might improve your chances of finally landing a woman. Try the "sound it out" method and see how it works for ya.
Based on advanced human psycology, yes the father is disappointed, but he is certainly a bit culpable in his sons failures. He likely did not fulfill his son from an emotional standpoint as a father when his son was growing up. This led to his sons issues seen here and probably more issues. We are a product of our environment. Even parents who are present and well meaning can easily not meet a child's emotional needs. Bad parenting is usually better than absent parenting but a lot of times not connecting emotionally with your child as a man can create this void. But you can really give what you did not receive, so I highly doubt the fat guys father was emotionally fulfilled by his own father, the fat guys grand father. Again I can not stress enoigh--we are a product of our environment. Traumatic childhood events and unfulfilled paycological needs lead to personality issues. It's extremely common. The up and coming generation is in trouble because social media actually does a lot more harm than good. Mental health issues will exponentially increase, unfortunately.
Old news. Watch the 600 Lb Life episode on this guy. True POS who deservez no sympathy. Also an opioid addict. Sad! https://youtu.be/TadDsJRWXMk

Born 800 lbs? Ouch!

I actually mostly agree with you. There is personal responsibility, but some have a harder battle than others. An alcoholic or someone who cuts themselves will get sympathy, but many people really despise and ridicule those who cannot control their eating. Not sure he should love being 800 lbs and there's a big gap between 800 lbs and a photoshop model, but hating and shaming doesn't help.
that being said, there are more sympathetic objects of compassion than this whiner.
