Also, most people are easily scared, just look at the pathetic sheep on LR
Hmm.
Now I'd like to see Mr. Cummins, his pot and his pennies explain the !manifestation of the most recent outbreak in India.
It would look very different.
Why was it only the two pennies?
Because of masks, shutdowns, social distancing and educating kids on how to stay sanitary.
He forgot that part.

He didn't forget anything (that was a guest video in any case). None of those measures have affected the deaths significantly,. and the real numbers are closer to a penny anyway.
But go ahead and try to have it both ways, like a serpent bending back against itself to get a fang on something.
You can't prove that the earliest initial mitigation efforts, which included closing businesses, government offices and schools, and the downsizing of production facilities for social distancing purposes had no effect on minimization of cases and deaths.
For our population in the US, mitigation is why there were fewer deaths than it could have been.
If you disagree? Explain India.
Why is it that all of the anti-COVID-precaution posts on here are YouTube videos?
this is moronic. nobody likes that life has changed because of covid. looking at some effing pennies doesn't change that. it also doesn't change that hospitals were dangerously full. FACT: our health care system isn't designed to care for as many people getting sick at one time. so yes, if you want to look at the world like this moron, the relative numbers of deaths aren't huge, and younger people don't face that high of an individual risk of death. if that's all you care about, and you say it suggests we overreacted, you are saying the higher risks to smaller numbers of people don't matter; that their lives aren't worth as much. you are thinking narrowly and selfishly.
I can't believe we are still having this arguments. Grow up.
Plus, Mr Cummins isn't as sound in his logic.
Numerically, he is making the arbitrary judgment that a co-morbidity with covid is not a covid death.
If he's going by the numbers, he has to include all deaths involving covid, because a co-morbidity still involves covid and would be in the statistics.
He's just propagandizing for freedom, and trying to dazzle people whom are overwhelmed by numbers.
But he clearly has an agenda.

True. Good points.

I can't believe you are still clinging to the official narrative

If you disagree? Explain India.
Explain Africa. 4 times the US population, 20% of the Covid cases and deaths.
Hey Moran, in this video the commentator (who you still haven't figured out is not Ivor, despite my telling you so) IS including the "Death WITH covid" numbers used by the CDC et al. That is the last time I will try to assist you in having even the basic grasp of the concepts.
Why are the covidophobes such hyper-spastic spam posters despite not being able to uptake even basic information, presented so even double digit IQs can see it?

That's an easy answer.
It's because we only listen to scientists, virologists and epidemiologists, and we get Dr. Fauci's points.
We aren't watching YouTube to battle the pandemic response.

No. You are accepting what the authorities tell you, no matter how inconsistent, how illogical, how often it changes.

False statement.

Well, the people who generally follow science aren’t looking at YouTube video sbecause that’s a terrible way to communicate scientific information. It almost certainly is a waste of time and I highly doubt that it explains why excess deaths increase shortly following an increase in Covid percent positivity on tests, regardless of restriction policy. If it does, tell me the minute mark and I will start there.
Even better, link to a peer reviewed paper ( in a journal that will outright reject papers, not just make suggestions)
Do you have a peer-reviewed paper that explains why Texas and Florida with no lockdowns are outperforming CA and NY with their Stalin-style policies?
I actually will accept a video for that.
Meanwhile thanks for proving that one has to be a complete ostrich with their head buried deep in the bunghole of state-sponsored propaganda to think that this has been anything but a policy disaster with knock-on ramifications for years to come.
Pure ignorance is such a banal form of evil.
The simple answer is that the individual level behavior in these states is not as different as you think. In CA and NY people were laxer than the rules suggest and in TX and FL most people behaved more strictly than the rules required (many business still required masks, people avoided large groups, etc.)
