Vaccine passports that allow people in to indoors unmasked activities is a good idea. Dropping mask requirements for people who have been vaccinated is hard to enforce based on the honor system. Vaccine passports worked well in Israel as both an incentive to get the vax and to get transmission down very quickly while the vaccination effort was under way.
So funny and conveniently hypocritical when liberals use Israel as a model society when it is the only country they hate as much as the half of the U.S. that doesn't guzzle the authoritarian Koolaid.
It's possible to hold the view that Israel handled a pandemic well, while also criticizing them for bulldozing neighborhoods.
Good job posting one of the dumbest comments all day.

Way too soon. Still almost half of the country hasn't been vaccinated . Plus, we are not sure that we can't still carry and pass Covid even though vaccinated. Please be patient. You have waited 14 months . What's 4-6 more? The uneducated and ignorant science deniers are astounding
Two week to flatten the curve.
Fifteen months later -- what another 4 to 6 months?
Feedback please

What about those who had a hospital grade serology test and have shown antibodies?
I was tested positive but I never had any symptoms. Why should I get vaccinated at this point when natural antibodies last as long as the vaccine induced? 8-12 months.
I'm not anti-vax, but I spoke with my doctor and I am not contagious.
Additionally they confirmed that a vaccine at this stage would be for me, simply boosting antibodies after 1 dose; not for the safety of others.
There are millions more like me, that have recovered and are part of herd immunity even without the vaccine. I do still plan on getting vaccinated but can't find any sound logic why I shouldn't wait about 8 months, unless I need to travel internationally.
...cause you cited UCLA research and took it as word of god,
and also, everything you babbled about made you sound like a complete useless moron.

I'm against vaccine passports, both on privacy grounds and because they are pointless. With a vaccine with 100% protection against serious illness, it doesn't matter who around you is or isn't vaccinated. If you're jabbed, you're bulletproof.
Dropping the mandate isn't so much about an "honor system" as about incentives. I've learned during the pandemic that people LOVE rules and LOVE being told what to do, even if they won't admit it. So a certain percentage (probably small, but small numbers are what we're looking at now) of mask-hating anti-vaxxers might go for the shot just to get out of the mask.
Another small percentage might be scared into it by being surrounded by unmasked people and being hit with data about how only unvaccinated people are now in hospitals, dying, etc.
Especially in Ohio.

It's a blatant violation of the 14th amendment guaranteeing equal protection under the law. Illegal AF.
Actually I kind of like wearing a mask. Usually get sick a few times a year but this year nothing. I might wear mask in the winter and flu season permanently

If you don't see how vaccine passports and bulldozers are both tools of oppression, you are dwelling in a sea of idiocy. Good job being able to operate a keyboard with such a limited grasp of basic concepts.

My theory is that this has more to do with not having to go into a filthy office with disgusting co-workers than wearing a mask in the supermarket.
People turn unto barnyard animals the minute they step into a public bathroom.
while I dont agree that vaccinated should go around maskless especially in crowds (vaccinated can still get infected/transmit disease, and we are still in the middle of a pandemic, the virus will find unvaccinated pockets to thrive...)
can we talk about the masks that everyone is still wearing?
mostly ineffective cloth masks that offer little benefit to the wearer (yea, I know, that isnt the point), with reasonable marginal benefit to others in the chance the wearer is infected?
Weren't we supposed to be mass producing N95 like 12 months ago for everyone? Where are we on that action item again?

I think the seasonal illness reduction is mostly due to having schools closed. Kids are big cold/flu vectors. As any parent knows, when kids get into school/daycare the first few years are a snotstorm...but it's important to build their immune systems when they are young.

You are partially correct, if the kids aren't there, they won't spread germs. However, my kids are young, in the daycare/kindergarten age. They haven't been sick at all this past year, and they've been in school just about the entire time. The schools are a lot better about cutting down on sharing things and hygiene in general. Parents are also much less likely to send their kid to daycare if they aren't feeling well. Pre-pandemic, it was standard to send them in unless they had a fever or were throwing up. Most of the time, if they were sick, it was from a kid at daycare anyway.
I guess the same logic can be applied to offices as well. So we can both be right.
We should tattoo everyone not vaccinated so it should be easy to tell. If you're not going to do what you're told then that's what you get
