"White Christmas"? Racist.
Sunlight. The color temperature of the sun is the definition of White. Racist.
Snowman. Not only racist for being White, but offensive. Should be called a "snowPERSON".
White lane markers on black tar pavement. Racist.
Insanity beyond your wildest imagination will be news. Tomorrow. Guaranteed.
You gotta ask yourself, have I met anyone ever in real life that has expressed these views? Do I even suspect that anyone I know in real life might privately hold these views?
If the answer is no, you might be victim to right wing sensationalism.
Yes, I've met hundreds. This is...I don't want to say the *norm* for a typical college campus, but it's far from rare.
"Mid tier" woke type stuff (e.g. not quite as absurd as the example given) is the norm at most college campuses, and to a slightly lesser degree in larger, liberal cities, especially in affluent areas.
Wokeism primarily seems to be the newest way of upper-class status signaling, and so you got lots of imitators trying to virtue signal. Which is a shame, because the ideas and concerns at the heart of the movement are legitimate issues that we should be concerned about.

As a white person who is a plumber wearing black rubber gloves while working during the pandemic, sensor faucets will not work with black gloves on. It took triple the time to make repairs until I discovered this.
Lost among all the culture war conservative virtue signaling is this fact ^^
It turns out that IR sensors COULD be improved to work better for all people who use them.
This is a classic conservative self own:
"OMG look what the Woke Mob is saying"
"Oh wait it's actually true"
You may disagree with how it's packaged, but the truth remains -- the dispensers work less well for darker skinned people.
Can't wait for the party of Facts and Reason to grapple with this one.
No grappling needed.
If they work less well for people with darker skin, then fix the issue especially given that's a non-negligible portion of the "userbase".
The aspect that people are objecting to that I can't tell if you're aware of and subtly trolling, is calling it "racist" and the usual implication that it's an intentional, malicious result. People are rightfully exasperated with that aspect.
I firmly believe people were always this hysterical however mass & social media has given these ridiculous and hysterical opinions a microphone.
100 years ago these kinds of ridiculous opinions, if you even heard them, would have just been brushed off as the opinions of an insane person and then you would go about your day. These hysteric opinions and people would probably never meet someone who shared their views. Now, the world is much smaller and these hysteric individuals can broadcast their insane opinions across the world in a second where they can be seen by other insane people who broadcast it further.

Skin-color-agnostic design principles can clearly impart unintended discrimination.
Is this as important an issue as intentional racism? I'd argue no.
Is it still racism? Yes -- it doesn't need to be intentional.

If you want to talk about unintentional racism let’s talk about bowling. A ball, that’s usually black, with a goal of violently knocking down a bunch of white pins.
This is obviously made up to make people angry. Automatic soap dispensers work based on body heat not color. This is some of the dumbest outrage porn made up nonsensical bullsh!t. Just stop it with claiming 'tHe WoKe LeFt iS rUiNiNg mY LiFe'

But, here's the kicker... We are living in a time of mass psychological crisis, and much of it is being propagated and funded by older adults. The wolves are devouring the gullible impressionistic young people.
You understand that you're the mark here?
I don't doubt that somebody might have said something along the lines that this article is alluding to. People say stupid stuff.
It's just that it's then packaged up and fed to you from these far-right websites and then the low-IQ bottom feeders extrapolate it to be 'all young people' or 'all the crazy leftists'.
You genuinely believe that the average non-Trump superfan genuinely thinks about stuff like this. This is how they've manipulated you, and I'm sorry for that.
This ^
Very well said.

Can you "OH MY GOD! LOOK WHAT THE LEFTIES ARE DOING NOW!!!" chicken littles try to grow up and ignore stupid sh!t? Give it a try. You don't have to be so stupid as to fall for it every time.

You reacted hysterically. It worked.

Trollism nailed it. The same is true for packaged “cancel culture” stories.
Yeah. It's like articles about what some individual tweeted or said on Reddit. Then Yahoo News writes article about it and it becomes actual news.
This`s probably the most absurd news I've ever seen...racist soap...people - those who came up with this, you're crazy. Now any accusation of racism reaches such an absurd level that it unwittingly turns into neo-fascism. Part of the reason I left the states is because of the mess with race here. The world turned upside down here - whites are now terribly oppressed just because they're not black. Is it okay that when white people put their hands to the dispenser it mightn`t work either? It's happened to me, but unlike black people, we don't blame anyone for it. Then try using a regular bar if you don't like dispenser for whatever reason https://mildsoaps.com/.
While this is a little extreme about palms of hands in regards to soap dispensers. Most are extremely slow and have a long lapse time in actually dispensing the soap, which has many thinking it doesn't work properly.
However in something much more serious, as AI facial recognition. It has been shown and proven that the AI programmed in facial recognition is in face biased and prejudiced towards people of color.

Is uh verry gooduh planuh: justuh keeping talking talking about racism anduh hopeuh no one uh noticeuh nothinguh improve uh for the blackuh people.
You would have to go back 60 years or more to find UCLA with a normal student body. Extreme liberals, crazy types as long as I can remember.
