I'll be taking 3 weeks off running per advice of a PT and doing some core strengthening during that time to help my Psoas heal up which forced me to cut out workouts my last 8 weeks. Hope to hop back on the bike in a few more days for some cross training but as of now, I can hardly walk down steps.
I've done some light stretching, compression therapy and heat therapy but not much luck yet. Quads are killing me, right hamstring completely cramped up at 25.4 and is pretty tender still and then my right calf is a bit tight as well after cramping up a little from 22 on.
Any tried and true methods or should I just plan on being sore a few more days? I honestly am never sore after a race and rarely after hard workouts but marathons are apparently no joke.
