Newbury Park will take the boys team title.
Colin Sahlman will win the boys individual title.
Newbury Park will be the overwhelming favorite and its not even close......provided they stay healthy
For girls, Saratoga Springs will win the team title.
Charlotte Bednar will win the individual title, unless Jenna Hutchins chooses to do NXN by some chance.
Hunter Jones of Benzie and abby Vanderkooi of Muskegon shock the world and win titles.
Let's hope there is an NXN this year. Nike has yet to announce that it's being held.
I agree with Newbury Park winning the title, but I think some of you underestimate the rest of the field when it comes to individuals. There will likely be 15+ underclassmen breaking 9 this track season in the United States. And historically, milers don’t win NXN. I could be wrong, but I personally think of Sahlman as more of a miler type. Guys like Gavin Sherry, Larry Josh Edwards, Sam Rich, Aidan Puffer, and Riley Hough have done more in the 5k to put their name up there. I’m not saying it’s impossible for Sahlman to win it, but I don’t think that he’s the clear-cut favorite.

Won't be held this year either. Covid is real and West Coast restrictions will remain in place. Mask up!

Colin is a 8:47 3200m guy from February and also ran 14:27 on the track in December. He has said he does not focus on the mile and his focus in 3200m and 5000m.

California is back open in full on June 15th . Even that brain dead governor knows he has to do it.
Nike will have NXN because they know if they don’t there are other companies that will jump in and host a HS Cross Country Championship and maybe for good. No matter what a National Championship will happen. Masks off a baby we are back!

I don’t think all of the top guys will choose NXN/NXR over footlocker. Puffer and Sherry did Footlocker in 2019 but not NXR/NXN.

All the top guys to NXN and will continue to do so
Newbury Park boys actually got a solid set up for Fall 2022 as well.
They will still have both of Nico Young’s brothers as well as Colin Sahlman’s brother on the team. All 3 ran a 15:10 and under at Desert Twilight.
Don’t forget 3 other rising Newbury Park stars:
-Cantu - soph - 4:22 1600 / 9:20 3200 / 16:23 5K
-Martinez - soph - 16:10 5K in Fall 2019 before he transferred to Newbury Park
-Doshi - freshman - 4:32 1600 / 10:03 3200 / 16:34 5K
That’s 6 already. Can’t think of another sophomore-and-under class that’s been as fast as this one.
Nate Jaster from Utah will be looking strong next year. 14:35 PR against some big competition.
Ethan Coleman 8:49 also a strong contender

drew rodgers (4:11/9:00) will be up there

If I am Hutchins and running well I would like a shot at the Balboa Park record. Added bonus of most likely much nicer weather.
