Well if your net worth is 160k as your handle suggests, most people would actually want to be you.

My wife and I moved in with my parents and we are 30. they are cool but I still hate it
30 I'm good with, and 38, given today's circumstances, might be okay.
I say this as a father with two kids not quite that old yet.
That said, if my youngest were 38, and I was the age I will be then, I'd likely employ that offspring to be my assistant. You good with that?
This is great stuff 🍿
I never had to live with my parents but there are much WORSE things that can happen. If I could, I'd trade.
Had no choice but had to leave my home at 22 after 4 years away at college because I grew up in an abusive home. Was broke AF so I wouldn't have minded staying home longer to save money.
Now, my mom is now on meds and if she had to live with me due to elder care issues, I wouldn't necessarily mind. But it's my house and my rules. Age 42 btw.
Glad to hear about your weiner. By "still works" imma assume you mean you can go peepee with no problems. That's really great.
Anyhoo ... how many miles did you run today? Got any cool hill workouts coming up? How about a time trial?
Mine turned out better than I expected. Each day is a blessing. Find a direction for your life and work hard to maintain it.
How much pot do you smoke?

A little bit. I go down the the baseball field at my old high school to smoke.
Why not move to the Philippines? I hear you can live on 10K/year there.
Left home at 19, joined the navy. Would meet a guy on the ship who's dad was in the insurance business, he hooked me up. Started studying for the test to get my license a few months before getting out, must have passed the test got my license in the mail.
No way in hell i could have lived at home after high school. Too many girls, too many crazy friends, too many drugs, too much drinking, no way it would have worked, so I made sure I wouldn't have to.

Me too. I figured I’d be retired by now but a middling to late decision to have kids has kept me working. I’m going to the beach this afternoon.
39 and permanently disabled by a degenerative disease and living with parents and unlikely to ever live independently again.
Does your dad enjoy the company?
You should make an effort to move out. Apartments can be found in affordable price ranges. You need to be more independent if you can...

Yeah, get out and get a job and find your own place. Meet a girl and get life moving. Still plenty of time to get things going. Get out of the house though before dating otherwise, well....it is just an odd situation for most.
Went to a MAC school for XC/TF. Had a PRs of 50.0, 1:58 and 4:40. I was a project for the coach. Got completely burnt out by year two and could not develop and quit.
Knocked up my girlfriend just before I graduated. Was supposed to go to grad school for CompSci in another state. She had other plans. We broke up a year after the baby was born.
Took a low paying job at a startup in Chicago. Could not get promoted. Got engaged to someone new, turns out she cheated on me with a co-worker before I popped the question and I call off the wedding. She wanted to marry a rich man.
Got a decent paying job 5 years ago and quit it. The next job was contract and they did not renew it - poor performance. I was depressed working there.
Bounced back in the past couple of years and make close to $180k in the Midwest. Age 40 now, kid graduates from HS in two months. Finally have a small house after living in tiny apartments my entire adulthood. Still no gf.
If I had done everything better, I would have my masters, had a better paying job earlier, maybe not have picked a low quality woman to get engaged to. Also, not ramping up mileage too fast and just trying to be more confident.
My son is the best thing about my life.
I will retire at 62 if I am lucky. I have no clue what the next 22 years will look like.
Living apart from your extended family is a relatively recent phenomena.

Is it just you and your dad? If that’s the case, don’t worry about it Bud. If the two of you get along well, stay there until you have a really good reason to move and keep saving your money
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
