And if I did, I would never say so to his face.
They sound like the type to have preferred pronouns in their social media bios.
Most are just good athletes that couldn't make it in a P5 conference. However, a lot of athletes in the P5 conferences wouldn't be able to hack the academics. One who did was Kieran Tuntivate.
Ummmm.... ever heard of Kyle Merber?
Ummmm... ever heard of Abby D'agostino?
Ummmm... ever heard of Don Cabral?

There are plenty of Ivy athletes that could play at a P5 school. If they qualify on the academic index and get admitted to an Ivy, not many would turn that opportunity down if they can afford the costs since there is no athletic or academic aid. Families can make a lot of money and still get aid to attend an Ivy so the schools are often more affordable than people think that they are, though.
You guys always hit a hot button with me on this one. I had 3 children recruited by Ivies. I don't make a lot of money but foolishly saved every penny. The Ivies wanted me to pay full price for my childrens' attendance. We decided on other options and saved about $600k in the process.

If they wanted you to pay full price you are making a lot of money. There are families that make well over $250K that aren't paying full price. FWIW, saving as much as you can is never foolish. Too many people don't save enough.

Earning $150k at the time of recruitment but it was all due to our savings. We had significant amount in mutual funds, money market fund, and land. Had we purchased a $2M house instead, kids would have gone for a greatly reduced price. One of the financial people recommended that we purchase a piece of art.
