Please report any post that quotes this email. This is clearly not appropriate to publish online, regardless of the circumstances. At least remove the email address and name of anyone not associated with the program. The original post by "Jake from state farm" lacks the context necessary to make a fair assessment of this email. So many questions need to be addressed before the email is of any use.
For starters:
Why the pause? Were athletes informed? How clear were the restrictions? (including start/end dates) Was the report true? If true, were the athletes a safe distance away when passing? (only complains about masks, not distance) Was there a mask mandate at that location? How many people were there, if true? How many previous warnings had there been? Had there been previous, credible reports of covid violations? How many xc members had tested positive? Did Sanders verify info with Spangler or the athletes before reporting the incident to the AD? Is this tone typical? Why only threaten distance if track is one program?
If someone learns the answers to these questions, it would be very helpful for understanding the context surrounding this email (I predict removing it will be impossible at this point). I was hoping my contact would know, but it's still radio silence.
