This song was clearly inspired by Pepe

Don't be ridiculous. Pepe le Pew has been persona non grata for 20 years or so. The problem with the humor is it involves a guy not taking no for an answer. It makes what would be sexual harassment & assault into a silly fun laugh fest for kids ... not the wisest programming. Yes, Pepe is silly and his misunderstanding is funny. But beyond that, what actually happens in the storylines is not something to be telling little boys and girls, hey this is fun and funny. Bad idea.

"NOOOOO!! The hollywood elites made changes to my favorite cartooooooon!! My Saturday morning bowl of Fruity Pebbles won't taste the same if I can't watch Pepe while I eat them. Masculinity is dead!!"
All you morons complaining about cancel culture lost your collective sh!t when a black guy took a knee at an NFL game and tried to 'cancel' Nike over it. You have no problem with 'canceling' things which you don't like. You guys are addicted to outrage, its pathetic.
1. I find it funny that the article refrers to Pepe as a "French raccoon. "
2. Years ago, I had a neighbor who was French and had never heard of Pepe le Pew. My wife and I showed the cartoons to her and her parents and they were laughing uncontrollably to the point of tears.
3. I don't think we guys realize how often ladies have to defend themselves against unwanted approaches. It's not ok or funny to force yourself on a lady. I doubt any lady who has been the victim of sexual assault would find Pepe funny.
4. The article also mentions Speedy Gonzalez depicting Mexicans as lazy bums. Can't help but wonder how that subconscious depiction has affected American views of Mexico.
Imagine not being able to teach your kids the difference between real life actions and an animated French-speaking skunk.

There's a lot of shows from back in the day, songs from back in the day, etc. that we could pick apart and they would not fit in to what passes for proper behavior these days. A lot of westerns on TV would be a problem today. I watched Gunsmoke as a matter of habit when it was on for 20 years or so. I watch it from time to time and have been really caught off guard by some actions by the characters that I never batted an eye at when seen years ago. For instance Matt and Festus shoot a man suspected of raping a young lady. I can't see that tolerated on TV today and how they handled the subject of the rape was also a bit odd.
My first thought when I read the subject was that he got cancelled because his character implied French people smelled. But taking a Metro in the summer during the 80's in Paris made me a believer. We got off two stops early just to breath! I completely forgot about him harassing that poor cat. Cancel away. Not a huge loss...

Oh, fiddlesticks. Space Jam 2 just won't be worth watching if... *checks notes* Pepe Le Pew isn't in it! Lebron James and Lola Bunny can only do so much to captivate an audience!

You're asking this while posting on the internet. Go google it, rube.
Fair enough. I went and looked it up. You’d have to be completely whacked out to believe America is a “rape culture,” much less think a skunk cartoon character “normalized rape culture.” Just totally demented to believe either of those things.
Yosemite Sam is about to get crucified by cancel culture
Law and Order: SVU has a rapist in every episode. Maybe it should be cancelled. Or maybe we should realize that the antagonist in a story is by definition going to do things that are disagreeable and that the story itself is not an endorsement of said disagreeable behavior.
that's what an antagonist is wrote:

This is not like the situation with Mr. LePew.
Hey. You guys hear about this virus going around?
They should replace him with alternative lifestyle droopy dog:
The funny thing is that this is the stuff my friends and I would joke about 15 years ago. Like man Pepe le Pew was kind of a rapist. Fred Flintstone is a generic dumb ignorant fool etc. As kids we knew these characteristics weren't something to emulate and enjoyed the humor and when they got their lessons put on them.

Many Mexican-Americans loved Speedy because it was it gave them their own cartoon character. Back when Looney Tunes were the cartoon for the kids.
Funny thing is how many kids today are watching Looney Tunes or the Muppet Show?
