I don't like that but I have moved on. I view it as, he hasn't said anything for a while so it should be forgiven. Judge him on his current accomplishments which are pretty incredible.

So does lying about your accomplishments. 2 x NAIA All-American is a big stretch to 9 x All-American that he claimed in several interviews.
A race director googles online and finds info they messes up all the time. I was at a professional Mile race and they made a bunch of mistakes I thought it was crazy. They announced this 4:01 miler as 5th place at the OT's and PR were wrong in their bio's. Most of the time it's some volunteer or intern doing these things if the athlete does not have a bog agent, etc.
I think it's time to move on from some races mixing up the NCAA II and NAIA. You can Calm down now.
Uh, no. It was him saying it in several interviews. He even had it on his team’s website before he was called out He used to tell anyone within ear shot that he was an All-American at ASU. It’s an indication of his general character. Check out his Twitter some time.
It works right away to improve them. Over time, it improves them more. Easy enough even for a troll to understand. It's all in the results. Previous coaches couldn't do squat there. I am not commenting on anything about this coach as a person or politics. As a coach, he is putting his athletes through college or pro style training and it is working incredibly well. Young's class was the first for him to take them through all of high school, and the coach himself said that Young set the tone and got the others to go along, whereas older kids, having come from a different system, were less likely to buy into the program. You cannot argue with the results, which are, for this early date, like nothing else anywhere in U.S. high school distance running history.
Hi twitter is positive and he doesn't like the California governor. Big deal most Ca residents hate the California governor. This is why he is getting recalled.
The sad part is you're following this guy looking at his every move he makes and the best part is he has no clue who you are or does he care. He is extremely positive to his team and athletes and others around . You find some race or bio with information about being NCAA or NAIA AA and you're bent out of shape. I honesty think you're reading into this wrong.
These HS threads are the worst with other jealous HS coaches. It's so so so sad. People get crazy on here, but the other HS coaches threads are crazy.
The two most important attributes for a great high school coach is belief and being all in, the rest can be sorted out.
From what I’ve seen of this coach on YouTube he’s got that covered. If a high school runner doubts their coach’s belief in them then they’ll have a tough hill to climb to achieve their potential.
Regardless of of the NP coach’s credentials or his personality his enthusiasm is contagious and well over half the battle. I was a 4:20 flat miler in high school and after seeing one of his interviews I was all motivated to lace them up again and give it a go and I am 60. So I can see why the kids are thriving under his tutelage. Well done Coach.
