100km per week sounds impressive even though it’s really only 60ish miles per week. You can run 1k reps faster pace and they don’t beat the body down as much as mile reps.
Discus.

I prefer meters per week, I manage 1000 every week and 10m dashes are much easier than 1km repeats.
Kms are amateurish
when running in the states we go by miles...in Australia we go by km's. I convert and it is what it is. A yard or a metre running is running and what you achieve is based on how smart you train. Good luck in your 5k hahaha!
I train in both. They are actually the same thing - zero.
If you prefer kilometers, and your buddies start talking about high mileage, do you talk about high kilometerage?
Whether you log miles or kms it doesn't make a difference in the distances you do for workouts lol.
I just run and don't give a ratturd what unit of measurement I run in. How about leagues? if you're not running 100 leagues per week are you even trying?
I measure in hands. I usually run around 1 million hands a week.
Matter not miles or km, matter time
I run by time.
But never in super shoes.
Finish week, calculate distance run, add 3-6%.
Boom. You’ve just trained more.
We call it mileage in the US.
This is the stupidest post I’ve ever seen. Did you know kms can be converted to miles? Did you know 1ks and miles are completely different workouts?
Yes, it will consistently be 1.60934 more when logging in kms vs. miles.
I switched to millimetres earlier this year. Did a 6437376mm tempo session at lunchtime today. Felt great though it was a nightmare taking splits
This is not a stupid post! The original post was funny in an understated way and It has generated lots of funnier responses.
"The trial of kilometers; kilometers of trials" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Neighhhhh!
Lets not forget PACE. I’m training for running a 2:50 pace at the Turkey Trot, it’s not that fast. World Record Pace is a 2:31 pace.

Wow, you hit 4 miles spot on. I don't have that ability. I always do too much or too little. I need to work at this.
I am measuring in parsecs. Feel like I am not really making much progress though.
