I get her at 3:26 on the fly -
VT takes DMR over NC State 11:11.78 to11:15.9 I believe.

3:25 and change. The coach is being smart, easing her into competition.
Particularly on the women's side NCAA track/xc is about progression, which is never linear. Do you begin at some point to PR again over high school times. On the men's side it is much easier to predict, with the top high school's seniors already in the mix by freshmen year. -

officially 3:25.5 for Tuohy, Henes 4:36.7 on the anchor but too big a gap to close

on an earlier lets run thread a 3:25 1200 seems to be in the 4:40-4:45 mile range. thoughts?

can't say that I differ with that, perhaps would have gone out a little slower in a full mile but clearly over 4:40 -
Does anyone have a time on Parks, one of the other freshman on the track.

About par.

Looks like WVU may have its own Celtic assassin.

they pulled a fast one on me and slipped her in the dmr...
Man, NC State has got to be able to find a 53 400 and a 205 800 leg, you need 1105 probably to make Natty field. Heck maybe Tuohy runs 800 as they have other options for 1200.
Tuohy debut? Pretty useful. That may be the first 1200 she has run, unless she ran one in 7th/8th grade? (Mr. Tully???). If we call it a 442 equivalent, that's a promising rust buster (433 is pr), shows she is ready for 3k tomorrow, and more importantly ready for xc.
Best run of 20-21 season for Chmiel, another good omen for xc. Now we have to find out who kidnapped Clairmonte and Howlett. -
Question is if she is cherubic? Seriously, McCabe via Canada is in 2ND year at WV, she was 2019 xc frosh of year in Big12.

I recall 9th grade (ironically Chmiel made up a ton of distance on the anchor to win), but yes she usually ran the anchor from 7th grade on.
She looked pretty gassed finishing, wonder what she has left for the 3,000? Of course, I wouldn't think she has done a whole lot of speed type work yet if she is trying to get ready for the XC meet.
