Both male and female. I’m not interested in the best track athlete but I’m wondering marathoner. Is there any college guys currently crushing 110 plus miles a week injury free or women crushing 90 plus?
Any dark horses that you can see as future marathon stars?
Which current college runner will be a great marathoner?

Mantz. Jenna Hutchins even though she is only a high schooler.

Agree on Mantz. He hasn't run a sub-4 or sub-4 equivalent 15, right? But obviously still a contender for NCAA XC.

I always thought John Dressel would be a great marathoner. -
Is Nadeel Wildschutt still at Coastal Carolina?
If so, Mantz, followed by him. -
Seth Hirsch from Wisconsin

Jenna Hutchins will be the top American within 5 years.

Looking at current indoor lists:
Cruz Culpepper UW
George Kusche Nebraska
Cooper Teare Oregon
Cole Hocker Oregon
Conner Mantz BYU
Aaron Bienenfeld Cincinnati
Casey Clinger BYU
Eric Hamer Colo St
Andrew Jordan UW
Katie Izzo Arkansas
Bethany Hasz Minnesota
Wouldn't be surprised at any of those names being successful marathoners. -
I feel like we're forgetting somebody obvious here.

Hate to break it to you, but faster milers, 5k runners, etc. typically are faster marathon runners as well. The only difference is many never get desperate enough to run a marathon until they are washed up.

Wasn't Rupp a 4:10 miler in college?
-
That is like saying it is obvious that a 16:30 high school 5k runner will be elite. Obvious would be if she is running 2:25. I don't predict that she will be an elite marathoner. I predict that Hutchins will be.

Try 3:57 indoors (3:39 1500 outdoors) plus anchoring the DMR indoors. -
Nico Young will be the first American man to run under 2:02:00.
Taylor Ewart and Tierney Wolfgram will be our standard bearers on the women's side. -

He will be the best for him at the marathon distance, but he has been a disappointment at WI. He should have done better at the 8k and 10k distances than he has. -
He did better than Gessner.

He has the talent to make Olympic teams on the track and probably won't move up to the marathon until he's past his prime. -
You literally described Conner Mantz.
