The average is much slower only because of wussy "P.E." classes and sedentary culture. Look at this film from La Sierra high school. Literally everybody's jacked.
This is proof that 99% of teens can be athletes if they wanted. All you need them to have is basic coordination from playing outside, a good training regimen (like at La Sierra), and an alright diet. I get that fitness is not fun for everybody and that there are other hobbies, but there is no excuse for being out of shape.
This rhetoric isn't even coming from someone with much talent either. When I started out I couldn't even break 6 but am now looking at the lower half of 4.
