Working on it Mr. President. In the meantime - have a Happy 4th and please make sure the WH intern who posted this tweet registers for Econ 101 for the fall semester... https://t.co/6yLpbDDRKc
Much of the U.S. could be due for blackouts this summer as policymakers rush power plants offline in a bid to switch to renewable energy sources such as wind and solar.
Renewables work a lot better than fossil fuels. Battery storage responds faster than gas peaker plants and does a better job at voltage regulation. And of course, batteries plus renewables is a lot cheaper than gas and coal.
We just don't have enough battery storage rolled out yet. But we are getting there.
The problem we have with a warming climate is that it increases the demand for air conditioning, which increases demand for electricity, which means more burning of gas and coal, which leads to more warming.
Since this is a thread about Biden, I heard he is still saying he will run again, and so far the DNC is backing that. Do they all have their heads in the sand? Letting Biden be their candidate is a recipe for disaster. Do the dems have any good candidates that can replace bumbling Joe?

"We are getting there" to the point where batteries support the whole US power grid? We're decades away from even having access to the cobalt and lithium to contemplate that.
Oh yeah, well I have autism (not just Aspergers but full-blown autism) and I'd like to ask Joe Biden to stop screwing up the country so what do you say to that?

A grid powered by battery/wind/solar is maybe one decade away if we decide to do it. There is plenty of lithium. It's one of the most abundant elements on earth. We need zero cobalt.
Also, in a few years we should see sodium based batteries that don't require lithium.
The Pima County Democratic Party is promoting an event titled “F--k the Fourth" which is being hosted on the Fourth of July. The event comes after the reversal of Roe v. Wade.
We don't need that many DC fast charging stations as they are primarily only for road trips. Most people charge at home or at work using slower 240V AC charging or even an ordinary 120V wall plug.
But in terms of the number of DC chargers we do need, they are being built out to meet the demand. Supply of DC chargers continues to keep up. This is not a problem today and it never will be in the future.
