I think you are overlooking this whole run tremendously. Garcia at the end does say that it was the fastest LR he's ever done, so running THAT fast clearly isn't an every-week occurrence. Generally LR's are meant to be done at a faster pace anyways, and sometimes to get to the next level you gotta push even harder, and everything falls into place. These dudes just ran a really good LR, and they still raced well, and are healthy. Let the coaches coach.
Yeah, love the 1:54 from the injured guy.
What injured guy?
Look at their most recent/top times, and plug them in to the calculator and look at the marathon pace.
The more times that I watch this and look at their SEC XC results, the more convinced I am that this team will finish 5th in the NCAA XC meet. Several of these guys will run 13:30 and sub 4 this year also. They will beat Arkansas at nationals.

QFE!!
Ole Miss coach needs to get Smulders under control. These Youtube videos and rambling on social media + LetsRun is going to ruin the team's reputation and hurt recruiting. Embarrassing for the entire program.
You don't know kids. This will help recruiting.

All speculation! Will run is speculation. They haven't done it! Show me a sub 13:50. Show me a time! 1:54 and 1:49 800s don't count.
Nobody cares to prove to you how fast these guys are. They are studs. The team is awesome. It is one of the best in the NCAA. Stop trying to outsmart the coach because you will fail. If you know more than him, you would be earning $200k as a coach.
Dude, hop off their nuts. It's obvious you've never done a hard workout in your life.

If I went on a recruiting visit and had to spend time with that one guy I would go somewhere else and never look back. Hopefully this is just an on-camera and he's much different IRL

Please provide the National Titles he was won, not conference ones. The is all about the running to fast on long runs and showing off and your attitude because l know you're one of them, proves it.
Yep and it is awesome to lay it on the line. Were you not fast enough to make the team?
You are right. Based on how fast these guys are running workouts, they are going to race much faster than their PRs indicate. It is going to be fun seeing how fast they go.

But unfortunately they will end up like that injured 1:54 guy. Please come back on the boards after you go home devastated at Nationals, better yet, don't come back till you run 13:40 or below.

Train, not strain. You guys are doing the later. Best of luck with some more injuries and lack luster time trials for You Tube.

That Mario Garcia kid looks like a million bucks. Do we have a future NCAA Champ contender? That kid is going to breakthrough this season... 13:40s, 27:50 on the track. Stallion.
Hi Mario! Hitting the boards to talk about yourself? Let's see results. 27:50 10k?? Please. Maybe 8k because he will be injured by the end of the season.
My friend, watch yourself before talking about Mario. When most of the NCAA runners didn't even run under 5 min for mile, Mario was already racing side by side with Olympic Runners (Jakob Ingebrigtsen for example). Look at who was one of the first non-africans in the World XC championships U20 in 2017. There is life outside the NCAA.
Get ready for spanish rocket this season.
Btw, do you wanna know Mario's Avg. bpm during that tempo?
174 bpm. avg
:))
