If you are not elite by age 25, it 's not going to happen. Run/race for fun, start a career, find a mate, and get on with life.
Pretty much did that. Ran my second Olympic Trials marathon with mediocre success. Time to move on. That was pretty much my approach to life. Still challenge myself, and consider the disappointments part of life.
