I didn’t love your tempo pace though - strikes me as in the slow side for a 16:10 guy, even at more protected durations. 5:45 is closer to marathon pace for a 16:10 guy than what I would think of as tempo pace.
Still, the rest was on the short end of reasonable and the overall volume was good. I’d say between 16:10 and 16:20.
Breaking 16:00 wouldn’t surprise me if you were able to get some slightly sharper tempo workouts in.
Honestly, it's not that far off tho is it? 5:45 pace is 1:15-mid. 16:20 aligns with 1:15-flat. Seems like we're nitpicking. 8 @ 5:52 looks just fine. 80 miles/week also looks great. The reality is that OP did 8 x 1km @ 16:20ish pace. 5-6 x 1km is usually good enough for 5k. The extra reps make me think if OP did 5 or 6, they could have run them all in under 3:15. Idk though. That wasn't the workout.
I think 16:10 is about right. 15:59 wouldn't surprise me. It would not be unreasonable to go out at that pace in your next race.
