Especially compared to other news sources?
Context: Middle-aged conservative Trump hater who's been significantly annoyed by clear left-wing media bias since the mid-80s. Commenting mostly on the coverage of the most important person in the world (POTUS).
If you watched only CNN for the last 4 years, you gained an accurate view of just how horrible the man (and to a slightly lesser extent, his party) was. Yes, it was repeated often. But didn't make it less true. If you watched Fox, you didn't. They're not equivalents.
Additionally, if you watched only CNN, you probably didn't utterly miss MAJOR stories unfavorable to the left or favorable to the right. Downplayed? Sure. On the other hand, if you watched only Fox, you DID miss the daily - and sometimes hourly - demonstration of the horrible inadequacies - and worse - of the most powerful man in the world.
Watching CNN could make one reasonably well informed of the big things going on in the US. Fox would insulate you from the GLARINGLY horrid behavior of our president and his party for 4 straight years.
No comparison.
CNN
Hates trump, has a very strong antitrump bias, will sensationalize topics to inflame, but unlike trump it does not falsify information.
It doesn't distort news at the same level of Fox news.
The selling of the idea of fake news, swallowed whole by trump cult members is entirely false. Trump hates anyone who prints the truth about him.
You marks are buying into trumps con.
"What do you guys think of CNN?"
I think that I don't watch it. Ever. And never have.
People whom I trust have informed me that essentially CNN's "news" is: "Orange man bad!" While I agree with that assessment, I don't need to spend time on a channel that says it. I actually watch Fox--not often, but occasionally. They aren't *quite* so restricted to a single message.
CNN is basically the propaganda wing of the Democratic Party.

NPR is my go-to during my commute. The chart put up by the other poster puts NPR very close to the apex of neutral, unbiased fact reporting.
I see myself as a slightly left leaning independent moderate although VERY left right now until this disaster passes. I find NPR as good as I can find. A big part of that is because most of my very liberal friends swear NPR is far too conservative and my conservative friends think it is far too liberal. Not too official but that makes NPR toward the middle and fact based in my eyes.
Yeah this is me exactly. I almost feel dishonest these days when I say I’m independent but left leaning, because I’ve been pretty far left these last few years. I just can’t wait until the republicans get a respectable candidate so I can prove my independency by not absolutely ripping on him like I do with Trump. It scares me though how many republicans are saying this is now the party of Trump. Idk if the parties will be close enough for a middle ground to even exist anymore if Donald or one of his sons run in 2024. But I have hope that they’ll go back to the party of family values once Trump is out, and we’ll all pretend nothing ever happened.

The fact that CNN didn’t report a story that turned out to not be a story is not the slam dunk you think it is.
I think it is too biased and they use emotive words.
I prefer reuters.
As an european I find CNN to be good at International news, but it is a bit conservative compared to what I am used to. Thats okay. You cant only watch one source anyway
