Anyone else have there feet ripped up by the Alphaflys? Seems like the air pods rub against my arch. I’m walking around with 2 golf ball sized blisters on the bottom of my feet.
Trying to determine if I just have sensitive feeties.

Stop running on pure hate and relax a little.
Its the price one must pay to overachieve
I've found that they are very strange in the arches, and I had issues with the tips of my toes (no other shoes ever bothered me here) by getting blood blisters on them.
Them shoes is fast, but them shoes is strange...
Why are you running in those shoes? I am genuinely curious. Are you using them as a trainer?

What else would you do with them?
Why is it weird? I am curious why he is running in the Alphaflys. They are very expensive and they hurt his feet. I am also curious if he is running workouts, maintenance mileage, etc?
I want to know why he chose that shoe.
I purchased them because I was interested in them. I ran a marathon TT this morning. I did not know they would cause issues with my feet until I wore them for 26.2.

Nice! Aside from the blisters, were you impressed with them? Hopefully you ran well despite the blisters.
Ya. Overall they are fast and definitely protected my legs. Felt fine walking around today honestly. Probably worth it even with the blisters.

He wouldn't know the hurt his feet until after he ran in them. It's not like you can see the future when you "choose" a shoe.

Good to know. Thank you. Congrats on the solid time trial.
Doesn’t bother my feet at all, but I haven’t worn them for 26.2. What’s the longest you ran in them before today? And I’m assuming you ran in familiar socks?
Ya same socks I always wear. Longest before this was a 16 miler. Only real difference I can think of was that it was low 20s (and of course the extra 10 miles). Not sure why this would matter.
Wore these for a 26.2 attempt. Other than the toe issue that has been described, I felt like my legs were taking a hell of a beating in these. I thought I felt beat up after a 5k attempt that didn’t go as planned in the Alphas, but I think these just may not be for me. I dropped halfway during the 26. There were other factors like heat and humidity but at the very least it felt like the shoes were non-beneficial. I’d imagine I’m in a very small minority.

Alphafly automatically puts the foot on the toe and rigidly loads the calves. If Your running technique was on the middle part of the foot, then there will be problems with the calves for the first time. One famous athlete from Russia ran a half marathon in them and left the race because he did not roll up to them and his calf clogged. He himself explained in an interview about running shoes that they are very demanding to the foot and you need to get used to them before you run a race. His name is Rinas Ahmadeev
From what I remember it was obvious from Bekele's comments before the London Marathon that he had injured himself with the Alphafly.
Can anyone confirm?
It was a calf injury by the way and he's just starting to run again.

I hurt my calf a while back while using carbon plated shoes 2-3 times per week in training. Can’t comment on whether it was the shoes or something else that caused it.

Oooooh, so that’s why they keep leaking beer everywhere when I try to drink from them? They didn’t fit in my dishwasher very well either. Now this all makes sense.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
