I work for a buy side asset management company in front office ops.
I was thinking making calls informing people of something or like polling or surveys. I can’t leave the house because my wife works overnight.
I’m also not against buying $1000 worth of something and trying to hustle to sell it.
The first point is interesting because it means you have some experience that not many people have. Whatever it is you do during the day, you know the lingo of asset management. You can write authoritative-sounding articles on an in-demand topic. If you want to be a freelance writer, there's a route for you to take.
But the second and third points are interesting because they suggest you'd really like to try something completely different than your day job. Maybe something in sales, maybe something entrepreneurial. Keep thinking of possibilities. You can do whatever you want (that there's a market for, and that you have the talent and skill to do successfully).
One site to take a close look at is Upwork. It has its drawbacks, but it's the best of the online freelancing platforms out there and it lowers the barriers to seeking freelance work dramatically. You may decide not to take that route, but it's one option for online freelance work, and you can use it to research what markets exist that you might be interested in.
