This is a strange game.
Total yards
Cleveland: 246
Pittsburgh: 308
First Downs
Cleveland: 13
Pittsburgh: 22
Time of Possession
Cleveland: 14:13
Pittsburgh: 23:25
And yet the score is Cleveland 35, Pittsburgh 16

Turnovers will kill you in football. Thats the difference. Pitt choked big time. Cleveland was also ravaged with injuries/covid losses. Pitt just choked.
on my side it's a movie wrote:

Cleveland was hurt by injuries and covid, but a fraction of what Pittsburgh was. They were down 6 linebackers although one that came up from the practice squad returned for this game (Spillane). They played a converted practice squad safety at linebacker most of the game (Marsh). They were down 4 starting offensive linemen from the start of the season, a starting cornerback & two edge rushers. They had a few guys in the defensive backfield I had to look up who they were. These are far from excuses, they were terrible. Just trying to set the record straight concerning how "ravaged" the Browns were.
The Steelers stunk. They played with no sense of urgency and their QB play was below horrible. Once down 14-0 in the blink of an eye and 28-0 in two blinks the Cleveland offense was able to get so conservative that the Pittsburgh defense was completely ineffective, not that they were lighting it up to begin with.
Good for Browns fans but I believe they will never get far versus a good team if Mayfield 'has' to perform. We'll see against KC.
The Browns are a legit team when they're on. When you're one of three teams in your division in the playoffs, you've gotta be doing something right.
yesterday Big Ben was a playoff quarterback and rapist. Today he's just a rapist.

Thinking that they are SB bound just because they may get the Chiefs at home seems like a stretch.
A stretch?! They're undefeated. Winning easy. Got Division locked up. Can rest personal from here out if needed. What more do you want?
Yes, a stretch.

Yea, play a 3rd place in the division schedule (Raiders & Jets) and have their common games against the horrible NFC East and AFC South. Washington, NYG, Dallas, Philadelphia, Houston, Jacksonville, & the Bengals twice should put you over .500. Then throw in Indianapolis & Tennessee who are hit and miss any given week, Pittsburgh in week 17 when the game meant nothing & they sat many. They are like many teams, good but far from anything special, that benefitted from the NFL's approach of trying to even things out from a schedule perspective.
Pittsburgh benefitted from the same thing this season.
By my count they've won 5 games against playoff teams so far. Sure they didn't play the Packers or the Chiefs yet, but they took care of their business well enough. Looked pretty good last night anyway.

I think they looked good against a terrible Pittsburgh team that showed up. So you are saying winning 5 of 16 games against non-horrible teams makes a great team? And those 5 teams were Pittsburgh twice, once sitting key starters, below .500 Washington, Tennessee and Indianapolis in shootouts. Sorry, they are not the '85 Bears or '70s Steelers. They won a playoff game against another average team that did a poor job of showing up and nothing more.
The only playoff team they played and lost to was the Ravens..and I guess the Steelers early in the season, right? The Jets loss was with no WR allowed to play. Don't get me wrong...getting the NFC East draw helped the AFC North this year...but I can't fault them for their schedule. I don't expect them to beat the Chiefs, but I think they're a better team than you're giving them credit.

I'm not sure anyone is expected to beat the Chiefs.
They are probably better than I am giviing them credit and worse than you are.
Since there is such a fine line between the better teams and the bad teams you are probably closer to being correct. Point taken.

Yeah the Chiefs may be favored in any matchup but they could easily be upset. Plus, the type of team it has taken to beat Green Bay (good defensive pressure on Rodgers) does not align with KC’s strengths, so if that is the Super Bowl matchup they could be in trouble.

I agree, they certainly seem beatable, especially by the Packers or Saints if they are on. I see the Chiefs as the 1500 star cruising through the rounds looking very average, but when it is time to go to the well, they are rested and hungry for the final. Reid is also smart enough to not show opposing coordinators too much unless it is needed. Their vanilla tendencies 'may' be thrown out the window if and when another gear is needed.
That is at least the way I see it, but I reserve the right to be wrong.
