How do y’all deal with end of season sadness? Cross is such an important part of my life and I love every single person on my team to literal death. 3 graduate this year and I can’t get over it. We finished our season today. How do I deal with this?

This cannot be real.
Why?
I believe him. I missed my XC team for years after high school, especially when I couldn't get any of my adult comeback attempts to take. It got better once I was able got get back to training and racing as an adult.
There will be other teams and other races, but nothing is the same as HS XC.

I believed that he might literally cry, but literally loving three people to death is too farfetched.

Why? David45 did it, and he didn't even make the team.
This is good news. If you were going to figuratively cry. We’d be worried.
Real runners have no off-season! Contact your three besties and tell them that Sunday long run is still on for this weekend. Time to get ready for track because success is built in the winter. Wipe your eyes and begin your base preparations.
Hahahahahaha
You can all still hang out and run together if the others still run after graduation. The fundamental difference between friendships in high school (and later college) is that it takes effort to maintain them after that phase ends. In school you see your friends every single day which is awesome but once school or your activity ends it takes some work to maintain relationships.
I remember after our last XC race going in my room and listening to Billy Joel for several hours before falling asleep. High school sports are so important to so many children on so many levels. Sounds like you still have seasons to go, make the best of them. No regrets!
IDK, I live in Canada and races have all been cancelled since March. Virtual races are BS but better than nothing and gives you a goal, at least.

Go to Hayward Field and do cocaine and heroin now that it’s decriminalized
My season ended last week and I'm not handling it well lol. Mostly I just stay as distracted as possible so that I don't think about it. Also my team has a group chat so it's not like we'll never talk again (we still talk every day or so) so that helps. If you get to have track season this year then you could try to focus on that (ik it's not as good as xc but at least it's still distance running). And if you aren't a senior then you still get more cross seasons.
You guys and girls are friggin weird.
Don't you guys start your off season training for track right after cross country ends? We start our offseason training the monday after the state XC meet. Anyone that ran at the state meet is welcome to take a short break if they need it but all the jv kids are ready to get going since they have been done for several weeks.

I would hope you aren't loving them to LITERAL death...murder is the opposite of love.
