I am not sure why anyone was expecting a faster performance. Galen is getting older now and there is no sign he will ever be what he once was. He ran fairly well actually.
Causee of the shoes. Are you crazy? 60 flat isn't what is used to be.
39 guys broke 60:00 in 2019. I assume you think he's one of the top 40 long distance guys in the world.
The dude has never really gone for it in a records-eligible half.
What about your brother? Did he ever really go for it in a records eligible half?
Seriously, since you criticize Galen so harshly compared to world competition, how does your brother stack up against the same standards? How would his 28 minute 10k look if we compared it to the world class competition at that time?
When Weldon ran 28:10 in 2001, do you know what the world leading time was? You and mr. goody two shoes Jonathan Gault should know. It was 27:04 by Abraham Chebii. Do you know what the world record was at that time? 26:22.
See? Instead of recognizing 28:10 as a pretty darn good run, as Galen's recent 60:22 is, when we look at it through the lens of elite world competition, Weldon's run looks pretty weak. But hey, keep throwing shade.
Sorry Rojo. With all due respect, it's time that you were put in your place.
1.) Salazar was a better coach than you ever were, based on the fact of the verifiable accomplishments of his athletes, compared to the accomplishments of the athletes that you coached.
2.) Rupp is better than you and your brother, and any other American runner you support, based on verifiable results.
Doesnt matter if you censor. Doesnt matter if you compare Galen to the GOAT himself, Kenenisia Bekele. (And ironically, Galen has beat Bekele once. Mr. Jealous whiny Ryan Hall, by comparison couldnt keep up with Wanjiru).
Every person is created equal. But when it comes to distance running, you need to know your place.
