Rupp hasn't raced since winning the Olympic Marathon Trials in February.
But today, the Eugene Marathon tweeted this:

Gotta figure that the American record is in play. In fact, if Rupp has been building his fall training around this and targeting this race specifically, I would expect it to fall. As a reminder, the AR is 59:43 by Ryan Hall from 2007.

Too bad today's Half didn't garner any attention.
-
And you know besides those two, Alberto will line up 5-6 top notch Kenyan pacers (oh wait).
-
Half marathon featuring just the two athletes coming soon according to Eugene Marathon IG.
Is Hall’s record on borrowed time? -
Wow this actually sounds pretty exciting. I hope they’ll have pacing of some sorts, but these are two great marathons throwing it down!
Rupp has run 59:47 and 2:06:07
Osaka with 1:01:13 and 2:05:29
Pretty close all things considered. -

He never left. -
Depends on how fast courses and weather conditions that was

What are the pollen counts out there now? Masked Galen or unmasked Galen?

Should it? It was won by a triathlete in 62:xx. That’s almost halfway pace for the majority of major marathons. -
Nevermind here is more info. Says location is undisclosed but the course will be flat.

Your man, Rupp, has moved on from AS in a very mature fashion. Perhaps you should as well? -
Will there be a webcast? Maybe a guy following along on a bike showing it on Facebook?

Makes me think it'll be loops somewhere, so it can be free of traffic/intersections, etc. -
Pretty exciting if you ask me. Glad to see Rupp chase times on the road.
