Well?
Well?
Incredible! Here's to a lifetime of happiness. The next few years (3 months specifically) will be painful but glorious.

Crazy feat to run that fast pregnant
I'm not sure what video OP was referring to of a "Preggo woman" running a 5:25 mile on TikTok, but if it's the video I think it might be it showed a woman late in the ninth month of pregnancy running.
In other words, the woman was at the end of the third trimester, close to giving birth.
If all is going well in a pregnancy, there's no reason not to do vigorous exercise in the third trimester. In fact, the third trimester might be the safest time in a pregnancy for a woman to engage in such exercise. Safest for both the fetus and for the mom.
Those shocked by the idea of a woman running a decent mile at the end of the third trimester probably have not been pregnant to full term themselves, nor have they been with a partner who has done so. Fact is, at the very end of a full-term pregnancy, most women go through a phase when they experience a surge of super strength and vitality.
Lots of women do amazing feats in the last phase of pregnancy, though these feats are usually more mundane and less attention-seeking than running a mile so the footage can be shown on TikTok.
More common than running a mile in good time for the camera is single-handedly rearranging all the household furniture, installing a new washer & dryer or water heater, replacing the roof on the family home, yanking out the fridge/freezer to clean behind it, rotating the tires on the family car, and trying to lift said car etc.
A main reason women experience this surge of strength and energy at the end of pregnancy is coz labor-childbirth is probably the most intensely physically demanding experiences a human being can go through.
I don't know, I've heard at least two women say running a 100 miler was more painful than childbirth.
I said physically demanding. You spoke of painful. Not the same thing.
Someone should send this to the Oklahoma men (OU) to shame them in to working a bit harder. They may just beat a heavily pregnant woman if they work at it a little harder.

This has to be a troll post...
My wife was NOT very mobile starting at like month 8. The run was incredible.
Shutup you loser...
This just seems like badly misplaced priorities to me. Her trivial-- nobody cares-- athletic feat overshadowing what should be the most momentous and transitional event in her life. All hail
social media!
Nice
She’s jostling the fetus!

Nope. I've done both. Childbirth was more painful. Not even close.
Indeed...
My wife ran a couple of 5Ks in her last month with our first child (26:xx for both of them). Last one was 10 days before he was born. Pretty awesome and something we both look back on with fondness. For her it was about staying as mobile and healthy as possible. The little guy was healthy and vibrant on arrival and her recovery was pretty quick.
Humans are awesome.
I remember years ago seeing a very pregnant woman run several mile races and 5Ks at a pretty good pace.
It's quite a site.
I think the real question on everyone's mind regarding this amazing feat is:
Does the unborn child now have a 5:25 mile PB even before getting his legs under him/her?
Inquiring minds want to know!

Agreed. Having a child is the highest purpose of any woman. She has a whole life of being a housewife and raising her child ahead of her.
Congrats!

As a completely irrelevant source I can verify that this child now owns the -1-0 age group mile world record of 5:25
I think Sarah Brown ran a 4:17 1500m in 2015 while a few weeks pregnant, but I can't find a mile time, so your post still stands.
