Trying to get back into shape and have been running 4 miles 3 times a week for the past 2 months. How should I build up to doing a 10 mile long run? How many more months of uping my mileage to get to that?
Trying to get back into shape and have been running 4 miles 3 times a week for the past 2 months. How should I build up to doing a 10 mile long run? How many more months of uping my mileage to get to that?
You should be able to add 1mile each week to one of those runs, so roughly 6 weeks to get there. Slow down the pace, and even walk a stretch, if you need to.
