Actually, his treshold pace is now 2.40 min pr.km with a lactate level of aroundt 2.0, that is extremely good. He obviously has the aerobic fitness to run sub 60 in well paced race. The only thing he might lack is resistance to 21km on asphalt.
Jakob has the engine to run 58:30 already. He lacks the specific training for a really fast half, but you have to realise, his engine will only get bigger, and once he focuses on 10,000m-HM, maybe in 5-6 years, who knows, he might get really close to 58' in a very good race.
As for now, given the course and his preparation..i would predict 60:10 in Gdynia, and 58:50 if he run in Valencia(December).
