How fast will he run? Does he stand a Chance? Personally I think he can medal.

Fake news.
Has possibly a road 10k in October, and then some well deserved rest.
Vebjørn Rodal said today on Norwegian Television that Jakob I was planning to run World Half this october. Gjert went out earlier this week to the media and said they were planning something spectacular this fall.
If Jakob is attending with Kamworor, then it is as a spectator.
Jakob ran a 3:33 at the Norwegian Champs yesterday, winning by 13 seconds.
Crazy...did not expect him to run

Exciting.
I do think Jakob will be over his head in that race.
He vill not runn eet.
Unt iff he does, he vill get krrrrushed!?
I think he is capable of 58:45
I think it will end the same way as his attempt at winning a medal at the junior cross-country world championships last year ...
I think his possible start in the wc halfmarathon was more of a joke. BUT if he did, he would run about 60 minutes.
His threshold-pace is close to 22 km/t (2,45 mins. pr. km.), and his slow jogging runs between his quality workouts are about 3,30 - 3,40 mins pr. km. So 2,50 mins pr. km. should be doable!

I stand corrected then.
Having prepared for 1500m mainly he probably lacks the base work needed to perform very well for that long.
So I don't know if it's true.
But if it is : either he go with the best and crack at 16k (10miles) and finish in 63.
Or he go at his pace and finish in 61 low-61:30.

I think he has potential to run even faster (try to calculate on a treshold pace at around 22) BUT..........
I don´t hope he will participate! I think he has too short time to prepare for such a long distance coming from running the short track distances.
I hope he will run HM later but not before he has trained his body to run fast for such a long time.
Remember: His long runs are never run faster than at moderate pace.

Agree! But I hope for a fast 10 k in Hytteplanmila in mid october, though!
Those who are saying he could only run 60-61 min need a reality check.
Some of you guys are foolish. Unless the race is super tactical there is no way Jakob doesn't break 60. The way Gjert trains them has them doing a lot of threshold work which is perfect for the distance. If freaking Callum Hawkins can run 60 Jakob should easily be capable of running faster.
Exactly when did Rodal say that. I’m norwegian so I have access to today’s footage. The reason I’m asking is that because in an interview right after today’s 800 m he said something about finishing up for this season.
I can confirm what is written here, team Ingebrigtsen did say something about the possibility of him running in Poland.
Regardless of if he'll be running this october, do you think that Jacob will have promise in longer distances? Maybe he should save his youthful speed for track races and move on to longer distance races later in his life.

Injury or training update on kamworor?
