Abdi won in a new american record, 58:42. Conditions were super windy the second half of the race, I believe this beats Meb's AR by 15 or so seconds. Shay was second in 60:30ish, Hartman and pack was about one minute behind Shay in 61:30ish
Weak field?
I believe Blake Russell ran 1:06 and change. Dereuck was 1:08:45-50.
Who was number 9 for the men and who are the top ten women?
Anyone know how Clint Wells did? He seemed to be on the up and coming!

That puts him on 1:01:55 pace for the half thon. Abdi should give it a go and run Philly!

Must have been a wind-storm. I don't think I've seen Graff run that slow, ever. Or Nick Rogers, or Kirpatrick, or Chad Johnson, or Hubbard, or Collins. What happened? Or am I out of line for asking?

How windy could it had been if Abdi set an American record?
Clint Wells dropped st 7. So did Jenny Crain, and Dana coons - oooh she's hot!

And the second half is protected from the wind by dense trees.
Well, the windiest part, for upwards of a mile or so along the water, does come immediately after the 10K point.

Your not out of line for asking. I always get a kick out of seeing elites post mortal guy times. To see Rogers run 5:20 pace is amusing for us and a tempo run for him. I suppose elites are no different than the rest of us in that if you have an off day we frequently say "screw it" and either jog in or step off the course. In terms of a pay day if I knew I was out of the cash I'm not gonna risk injury or trash my legs for next weekend by gutting it out.
As for Collins, he just can't go much faster. The kicker is he can run that pace for eternity.
It was windy from just after 10K until about mile 8. Other than that it was very pleasant
Collins has not been training for the long stuff lately. He's been taking a break, racing a bunch of road miles and 5k's this summer. He's known for mega-mileage but I think he's been experimenting with much less, or at least taking some months to recover from all the very high volume months & years.
He was testing out his legs today, aiming for another oly trials marathon qualifier down the road. If he qualifies it will be his 4th! Go Kevin!
Any pictures???

The Chad Johnson who ran there is Chad Johnson the east coast guy, NOT the Hanson's-NOP-Team Minnesota-Hanson's-Brooks Chad Johnson.

graff and rogers came in together talking the whole way to the finish... they looked like they were jogging, so maybe you are right.
