Fvck the Zuck. I've stayed away from FB. Yes, it makes me a loser, but whatever.

Yikes!
Did you pass 4th grade English class?
I was at dinner with a friend and he took a photo of his meal and posted it on facebook. Now, why anyone would waste time to look at a photo he took of his meal is beyond me. I've never had a profile on facebook. I've been on it to see running club posts. But this whole "look at me and what I'm doing" is a really strange narcissistic trait that more people have than I would have ever believed.
Yep, this is definitely the ME generation. Look at me! I’m so special!
Attention whores! I hope all your accounts get hacked.

70 percent of the population is on Facebook, and when you figure in the older people 80 or 90 that don't bother with it, and the homeless people, or people who can't afford a phone, you have a small number left. There is a big chance, for example, someone who is like 49 years old and not on Facebook, that they could most likely be a sex offender, as they aren't permitted to be on Facebook or something is just wrong with them socially or mentally or they don't want to be found. Very few people in that age range just choose not to be on Facebook. Most likely there is a reason. So next time someone in that age range says they don't do Facebook, be skeptical of them. There all ways is the chance their normal and choose just not to, but that is a very small chance .
Hahaha... poor me. Anyhow, I think the combo of no Facebook AND posting on letsrun is what completely seals the deal on my loser-ness.
You sound like a Globalist Marxist Antifa Big Government Commie Red Guard.
The OP must be a troll. 3/10 for getting a few actual responses.
There's so much more to lose being on Facebook than to gain it's not even funny.

I’d guess that less than 10 percent of the people that I know are on social media, much less Facebook, so no, I don’t think something is wrong with them. Assuming people are all willing to share their private information on Facebook is wrong. Being off the grid is a cherished quality in my wide circle of friends. Hi
The statistics say different, so you are eather old or don't know a lot of people.

Facts say different. 70 percent of the population in the United States are on Facebook. Business are on Facebook, even Let's Run.Com is. So tell me your age? I bet if your honest, your not in the age bracket I put up.

Age please?? 70 percent of the population. Not to mention business. What is your age? Prove me wrong.

You probably have thick Coke bottle glasses, and live in your childhood room at age 50, with your mom and dad.

The facts of what? He said there is more to lose than gain being on Facebook. What does that have to do with what percentage of the population is? Is English your third language, or are you just unable to express a logical thought in any language?
FB is clearly for lonely narcissistic folks. They post something and then start panting when they get "likes". Of course the pics and stories always seem to be their "best" days. I am living my life without getting distracted by others trying to polute mine with their desire for attention.
Haha wtf...?
No one uses Facebook anymore with the exception of boomers.
I like Facebook mainly for groups, events and business updates. It's nice to be able easily see when a group run is happening or if a bar/restaurant is having live music that night.
Some people are turned off by the political b.s and those people obliviously don't know how to unfollow someone and remain friends.
However, I can see if you have an addictive personality that likes to go down internet rabbit holes, it's probably best just not to be on facebook or you will waste an incredible amount of time doing nothing productive.
kids don't even use fb anymore wtf is wrong with you

Well then there is the other end of the spectrum. Most younger people don't use Facebook. Although many people from age 35 and below might have an account, a lot of them don't use it opting to use other social media. In their eyes, FB is for old people "like my Mom & Dad, Grandpa & Grandma".
Your 70% stat is misleading. There are a lot of people with FB accounts that don't use the platform. 70% with an account is not the same as 70% active users.
I am in my late 60s and have an account because I want to be able to see the profiles of some businesses. I have no profile, all my settings are private and I have never posted anything personal. Am I included in your 70%?
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Good one.
That’s funny.
Im 18 and I deleted my facebook a couple years ago because I never use it and I get tired of people trying add me on facebook just because I'm a third cousin twice removed.
