Likely pissing in the wind here with people very wedded to their conspiracy theories, but as a doctor and as someone who has taken care of patients with COVID-19, I feel that professionally I need to state that the original poster and the others along for the ride are misinterpreting what this means. Not surprising when people without medical training become medical experts after a couple weeks of reading things in dark corners of the internet.
Even if a patient has multiple other chronic issues, their primary cause of death is what killed them. If someone has respiratory failure from COVID-19 and heart disease, diabetes, dementia, BPH, etc. ... they died of COVID-19. If someone with COVID-19 gets hit by a truck, they died because they got hit by a truck. Similar idea to patients with heart failure, hypertension, asthma, peripheral vascular disease, and pancreatic cancer that metastasizes to the liver. Their cause of death is going to be liver failure due to metastatic pancreatic cancer. Do they have some right heart failure and pre-existing hepatopathy that makes their liver less than 100% going in, sure, but it doesn't change the proximate cause of death.
The level of paranoia and tribalism in this country right now is approaching the level of the 1930s in Germany.
