I'm a 6'1 middle aged man and wear my Timex Ironman on the smallest hole. I may hold the world record for thinnest male wrists. There's never been a problem with it falling apart though - that's happened more than once for you?

East Africans are famously low-tech. They're not hobby joggers trying to show off with fancy Garmins and Rolexes. That's also why you hardly ever see them cycling, doing triathlons, or engaging in any sport that require serious equipment.
Many East Africans start off with a cheap $5-$10 watch, if they even have one at all.
Watch the Kenyans and Ugandans talk about their lives. Ugali, tea, mud hut, cheap Chinese-made clothing from local markets. That's it. Joshua Cheptegei even said in an interview, "No crazy food at restaurants."
Who would have thought, that times are not related to the watches you wear?
