Doing runs at 90-95bpm with a maxHR of 190. 16:30 5k doing runs at 12 to 15 pace was a bit painful. He didn't make any progress. Not surprising though because their does seem to be a minimum for aerobic benefit to be realized and flip the "ON" switch, and that seems to be 55%-60% of HRmax.
