Seriously, seems like this will lead to huge tuition rates next year to try to make up the budget shortfall.

There are only several hundred, if not several thousand reports available on line to answer your question.
Since almost everybody likes sports, Would the Government bail out the NCAA?
Most schools will wind up in a better financial position. But I'm assuming that you're wondering about Ohio State, Alabama and the like. They will be in a worse position.
Which D1 school? All will be broke.
They won't end up in a better position if they continue to pay fixed costs (e.g. coaches and staff). The athletic departments will face losses they have not seen before.
Aye chill. There not need for negativity.

The bigger problem universities and athletics face is the loss of money if students are forced to live and work remotely for the semester. They will lose room and board; many students will defer or dropout meaning they will lose some tuition dollars as well. Other than the big football schools, this is what most colleges are fearing the most

There are some universities that bring in more revenue than their expenses from football & basketball. Some universities have great tv deals. Do not believe for one minute that every university profits from football and basketball. Those stadiums are very expensive to build. Why do you believe universities need multi-millionaire boosters hanging around their favorite team to make the books balance.

No there will not be huge tuition rates next year, at least not to make up for lost athletic revenues. Athletic departments are self funded.
Why think you that?

No there are not. Try to name 3.

For schools in conferences like the MAC, I would imagine it might actually save them money. Those schools do not make money off their football programs.

Because that's how it works. Athletic departments generate their own revenue. Activity fees do go to athletic departments as well as to other places but athletic revenues have nothing to do with tuition.
Which universities? The majority of D1 is in the red for football, so they've already been operating at a loss. The trick now is to cut the costs with zero revenue (gate, tv, donations down) which is hard if you've overspent on facilities, intend to pay coaches for sitting on their butts, etc.
