Jones has fought a lot more recently.
That should be an advantage.
If they actually mix it up, it's anybody's guess.
Tyson hasn't fought since 2005, but has looked great in training (I know. Anybody can look good in training) and has unreal power. Jones last fought in 2018 and won 12 of his last 13 fights before then, including six KOs dating back to 2014.
Jones has an inch but Tyson has about 50 pounds. I’ve got Tyson by KO in 5.
Tyson wants to set up a 'legend's league' so former sports stars can compete again - not just boxing but many other sports. I wonder if they might include athletics, but I guess it isn't popular enough.

Wouldn't be surprised if Jones bulks up for the fight. I doubt they're sanctioning it at a proper weight class.
I think you could defeat either of them.
Iron Mike in 3

Thx.
I'm rooting for tyson
It's an exhibition match, so unless Rocky is holding the only towel, it's going to be pretty boring.
I wonder if they'll be doing it at 80? Fighting, that is.
Jones is overrated. Sticks his head out, keeps his left down, pivots too much leaving exposure and lag. A heavier fighter who could take a good jab to the head going in and land a good body shot would kill him.
Tyson was the master of this when young, although he wouldn’t take the jab, he would duck under and lunge in. He now has less power, less speed, and his durability is in question. He can’t trade—like he used to, he needs to get in early, and land those shots. Forget about the lunged sweeping left hook to the head, just keep it down.
I would have loved to have gotten a shot at Jones. I hate that guy, I hope Tyson destroys him—but it won’t go down like that. These are old men who will be trying to conserve energy, and who will be too slow to be creative and adapt during the match.
More than likely Jones is going to get destroyed. His style was based around having better reflexes than everyone else, unfortunately for him that's the first thing to go as you age. And he's been knocked out pretty badly at the end of his career. If this truly is a fight, he'll be lucky to get out of the first round, wouldn't be surprised if he's out in under 30sec.
Jones overrated? if you look at his older years, sure....should have quite long ago, but during the 90s he was so dominant. After he gained the weight for the Ruiz fight he was never the same as i think the bulk slowed his best attribute...quickness
I think his competition wasn’t great, there were no smart fighters. Weight class was weird too. You are right he got slower but IMO wasn’t super fast to begin with.
Yes I do think he was overrated, but my memory is a bit fuzzy, too many intervening years paying attention to track.

yeah, I'll give you that he never always had the best opponents...but disagree that he was overrated because of it. I was always amazed at his speed/agility compared with others close in weight.
all these boxers that faced him seem to think he was fast

Wrong. It's not an exhibition fight, it's a real 8 round fight with real punches but it's for charity.

No, it's an exhibition match:

Who do I got?
How about FATHER TIME?
