When I started running ~10 years ago, I got a gait analysis and bought the shoes they recommended, which were Mizunos. After that I just kept buying Mizunos (not all the same model but always the same brand) when I needed new shoes. I tried a pair from a different brand (I think either Nikes or New Balances but it was years ago so I'm not sure) once and it went poorly, so I went back to Mizunos.
I'm thinking that maybe the reason switching shoes didn't work out was because it had been years since I got a gait analysis so I just kind of got a random pair of shoes. Should I get a fair analysis again and then replace my shoes based on that? Also does anyone have any brands that they really recommend?
